Hanbok Rental in Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

I booked this last minute because the temperatures would finally be above freezing. I booked 12 noon but had a schedule issue come up and couldn’t contact them in time so I showed up early hoping they would help- I worried needlessly! Even though they were busy they got me set up with a locker and put me in line for dressing. He sized me just by looking and gave me a couple colour options. I’m plus sized and tall. Dressing took minutes! The lady did not shy away from my braids and styled them well. I was able to do the 1.5 hrs I booked and leave Gamcheon by 12:30! Dressing and hair took less than 30 minutes even with waiting. they have photo spots at the location! It was definitely worth returning to Geomcheon and taking photos in -1 temps. I would recommend wearing white long sleeves if you want the top of your hanbok to be white, and also stay a bit warmer. The cloak they provided helped (this may be because I purchased higher package). I would highly recommend!

The owner was very kind and spoke Japanese very well! It was a great relief for me, as I can't speak Korean. The Hanbok was very easy to put on over my clothes. The hair styling was also super cute, and I was very satisfied! The scenery at the photo spot was nice, but the view from the rooftop of this shop was the best. I definitely recommend this place if you're going to wear Hanbok!

experience: This was a great experience and 1.5 hours flew by! You do feel a bit rushed and the business is busy, but you'll end up feeling and looking gorgeous after all fitted up. highly recommend! location: Right inside the tourist area on the main route. It was easy to find.

I had a 10 AM reservation and arrived at 9:45 AM. There was already a crowd of people at the entrance, queuing and getting their makeup done. This is because friends who bought the Busan Pass also get a 1-hour experience. I, myself, booked a 2-hour experience. I spent half an hour choosing an outfit, getting dressed, and having my hair styled. The remaining hour and a half was for the actual experience of walking around and taking photos. Since it was purely an experience and there were no specific must-see attractions, an hour and a half was just right. If I had booked only an hour and a half, it would have been a bit rushed. One hour definitely wouldn't be enough. For those who want to walk the entire cherry blossom path, you should plan to rent for the whole day to have enough time, as all the Little Prince photo spots require waiting in line! Because the store partners with Busan PASS, it tends to be crowded. Although the staff were very busy, they still greeted us warmly. They used a little simple Chinese to explain the process and show us where the waiting area was. On the day we visited, there was also a staff member who spoke Chinese and could assist us. Lockers are available on-site, and small pouches are provided for valuables so you can carry them with you. The process involves choosing your preferred skirt color first, then changing, and finally styling your hair. You need to do your own makeup beforehand, as it's not included in the service. We recommend wearing a light-colored top, or at least a camisole or similar, to speed up the changing process. We'd like to give a special thank you to the owner. My mother felt the original color she chose wasn't quite right after trying it on, and when she politely expressed her wish to change the color, the owner was very patient and allowed us to switch colors immediately. We are incredibly grateful! However, we still recommend choosing your desired color scheme in advance to avoid wasting time on the spot. The first floor is for choosing clothes and changing, the second floor has an indoor photo zone, and the third-floor rooftop offers a panoramic view of Gamcheon Culture Village's charming colorful rooftops, making for excellent photos. Since we were Klook customers, the owner generously gave us a free, luxurious-looking white fur shawl, which kept us warm while taking photos outdoors or strolling around. We felt like runaway princesses walking down the street – we were definitely eye-catching! This is something not included with the Busan PASS. The 1.5-hour package allowed us to take plenty of photos. Many men and children also tried on hanbok that day; the styles were modern and not gaudy, making it suitable for the whole family to experience hanbok and create wonderful memories. Before we left, the owner even gave us delicious apple juice! We are so thankful! We highly recommend this place!

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The shop offers a wide selection of hanboks, all of great quality, and you can either choose on your own or ask for suggestions based on your style and size. There are small lockers upstairs to store your belongings, which makes wandering the village comfortable and hassle-free. On the second floor you’ll also find one of the best viewpoints of Gamcheon—a perfect spot for a memorable photo. My tip: book 2 hours instead of 1 to avoid feeling rushed and to have plenty of time to enjoy the openings and capture great shots. If you’re visiting Gamcheon, this is a wonderful way to add a touch of tradition to your day.

The owner and the staff sisters are all very nice 😌 They can speak a little Chinese, so communication isn't really a problem. The clothes selection process was super fast! The owner asked what color I liked, and I picked one in a second. For the hair styling part, the sister's hands were also very quick, and the hairstyle was very secure and beautiful ❤️ The three of us girls had different styles: one half-up, one fully tied up, and one with a bun, and they all looked amazing! A small tip: I recommend wearing a camisole so you don't have to worry about short sleeves showing, as they might slip out when rolled up. The second and third floors already have three backdrops for photos, and there's air conditioning indoors! If you don't want to walk too far, there are two small alleys with food stalls right outside the shop. They have a very Korean vibe and are great for taking pictures 📷

The Hanbok was new and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the weather suddenly changed and it started raining heavily when we were taking photos that day. Luckily, there was a spot on the second floor where we could take pictures, and we also braved the rain to photograph a few classic locations. The hairstyle was beautifully done! Overall, it's highly recommended!
