One of my best bicycle tour around Siem Reap Countryside. Our guide Sun Chen shared with us the history and culture of the people of Siem Reap. We were brought to the local market to see the fresh produce, their lifestyle at the rice padi field, the families making rice noodles, rattan baskets and Bamboo rice. It was a lovely experience. The bicycles and helmet were all in good condition, and drinks were provided throughout the ride. Thank you for the enjoyable ride. I would love to have another experience again with Grasshopper Adventures.
This morning was a local countryside bike ride, taking country roads, visiting local markets, and passing through tree-lined paths, arriving at a paradise called Wat Svay Romeat Pagoda, which is a pagoda next to a local lake called West Baray. In the middle of this lake is a temple called West Mebon Temple. This area is very spiritual. There is a Buddhist academy here where you can study elementary and middle school, and it's free. The tour guide said that locals come to the lake in the afternoon to drink coffee and swim. We also visited local residences and experienced bamboo sticky rice, a very good local cultural tour.
The cycling tour was very cool. We went up the country road in Angkor, passed the village rice fields, and finally arrived at the beautiful West Baray Lake. The tour guide patiently explained along the way and helped take pictures. On the return trip, there was an obvious Tyndall effect among the trees. It was a very good experience and a very good tour guide Meun!
This is a self-arrival bike tour that starts at a designated location at 8 AM. The bikes were in good condition, and once we got outside the center of Siem Reap, we enjoyed riding in areas with almost no cars, passing by markets, traditional food-making spots, and experiencing diverse scenes and beautiful natural environments. Our guide, Muen, was incredibly skilled, carefully observing the situation throughout the tour, checking the condition of my bike along the way, and leading us safely, making him the best guide. Anyone who rides a bike even a little bit regularly can participate. Take on the challenge!
The tour offers a deep look into the way of life in the local villages. You get to enjoy a variety of landscapes and gorgeous scenery, sample locally made food amd witness the morning markets. The guide has a fantastic knowledge of local customs and history. This tour is a real treat.
It was such an amazing trip. My guide name was Sarak, and he was amazingly kind. Way through Siem Reap country side village could be hard, if you are not interested in biking, but people I met there were extremely nice so I was able to not think about how hare I was. I am sure you will experience special moments having the tour.
You need to go on your own during the itinerary, which is a little far away from the city. It was raining heavily that day, but the tour guide patiently waited with me for the time to set off. During the itinerary, he was also very considerate and often concerned about my situation, and introduced many things about Siam in a very friendly way. The local workshops and markets helped me get to know Siam better.
Very informative and knowledgeable tour guide. Basically a private tour since no one else signed up for that day so you could really have all your questions about Cambodia directly answered by a local Cambodian.
One of the best experiences I had in Siem Reap as we immerse ourselves in the local villages, local food riding around 27km with quality bikes. The guide Bunvath was professional too!
Breathtaking and a different kind of experience where you can come up close to cows, buffaloes and frogs! The guide is good and he makes every attempt to “show and tell”.
