Reviews
Our experience with VASARA Kimono Rental in Nagoya was exceptional. While this location had fewer yukata choices than I expected, the staff more than made up for it with their kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine care. I hoped to wear a red yukata to match my wife’s, but none were available. The staff went above and beyond, searching through unopened boxes until they found a maroon yukata with dragon designs. They paired it with a blue obi featuring a water pattern. They also dressed my wife and daughter beautifully, and transformed my son into a young samurai. Seeing our whole family dressed together was a highlight of our trip. Walking through Nagoya and visiting Nagoya Castle in yukata felt immersive and special. We received many friendly compliments and interactions along the way. The VASARA team didn’t just rent us clothing, they created a wonderful family memory we will cherish for years. The staffs are very helpful, many choices of kimono. Great location, near JR Nagoya Station. IMHO, the quality and kimono price are better than other store.
I honestly thought this would just be a quick change of clothes….but it turned out to feel almost ceremonial. The beautiful staff took their time helping me choose which obi and accessories would best match my kimono, and I really appreciated how thoughtful the entire process was. They even did my hair beautifully. I loved it so much that I kept the hairstyle until night time. We wore our kimonos everywhere: to train stations, Nagoya Castle, shopping centers, and more. Even with the cold and windy weather, the kimono kept us surprisingly warm. We returned everything right on time at 5:30 p.m. after a full day of exploring. This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The staff were very sweet and kind, and I even found a co-ARMY 💜
Very cool! The store clerks are very kind. It was a rainy day, but because I was going back to my country that day, I still wore a kimono. However, the store clerk will give you a bag to put your shoes in and a beautiful big umbrella for you to take with you. You can hold it when you arrive in Nagoya. Take pictures with umbrella! Special experience! ! The braided hairstyle for short hair is simple, neat and beautiful! Overall very satisfied
The first time I put on a kimono, I felt a sense of ritual from the inside out. From the way the belt is tied to the drape of the cuffs, every detail makes me slow down and calm down.
The staff professionally assisted us in putting on kimonos. Each piece was so beautiful and dazzling. The braiding was also very professional. It was a very worthwhile experience.
The clerk's service is first-class, and the explanations are attentive and professional. The kimonos are exquisite in style and colorful. It is a pleasure to wear them, experience the strong Japanese style, and leave beautiful memories.
The service was great, and the kimono was carefully selected for me. Although the insurance cost 550 yen, it was really worth it.
The salesperson was very nice and helped me put on the kimono slowly. It didn’t cost a lot of money, but it was worth it and it looked beautiful.
The clothes have wide range to choose. The 2 lady staff were helpful as we dont know how to match the assessories and they suggested, which turn out pretty for us. They are also very polite when helping us to dressed up.
