Reviews
very good tour company which takes care of the customers. although Surin Island is not rated very highly, the professionalism of the cruise operator more than makes up for it. value for money
Surin islands is worth a visit - incredibly beautiful place, and the snorkeling is good, in particular the fish, lots of them and very pretty; the corals are also nice although not very colourful. Wow Andaman took good care of us, clear useful instructions, plenty of soft drinks and snacks all the way, and resonable food for lunch and dinner; breakfast wasnt great... The trip was overall worth it, but is takes more than 2h each way of a VERY BUMPY boat ride that is not really enjoyable.
Out of all tours was the best organised, right time at each spot, most beautiful snorkelling I've seen
as stated in description. Nice to see . a relatively different experience from other day trips. clearer water for sure
The trip was very good. Surin Island is really worth a visit. The island is beautiful and the snorkeling is blissful. The tour guide and crew took great care of everyone. There were also delicious ice cream, fruits, biscuits, etc. on the boat. It is true that the transportation time will be longer, and it is still a bit tiring and hard work after a day, but it is still worth it.
We participated as a couple. We had a great experience with the excellent hospitality, including the hotel pick-up and drop-off. Breakfast at the Pier before departure was also decent. Lunch was a Thai buffet, with not many items, but considering it was a remote island, it was satisfying. We snorkeled three times at different points, and the water was incredibly clear and there were a wide variety of fish, which were really beautiful. At the last point, we were lucky to encounter a sea turtle, which the tour guide said you can see quite often, although not every time. The guide was polite and humorous, and it was really wonderful throughout. 100% worth going.
It's really the best 👍 I have nothing else to say. You can see Nemo's house. The water quality is really good, and the ice cream is delicious among the snacks that come out occasionally. Make sure to bring sunscreen, and ladies, change your flippers as soon as you arrive. There weren't many, so I didn't get any. (It doesn't really matter.)
Amazing experience! The staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. Many snacks and drinks on board. Everything was taken care of, very well organised!
great staff. good snorkling and was fed the whole day - breakfast snacks ice cream lunch and dinner
very good staff. Wonderful location. Efficient transfers. Exciting snorkeling.
Good to know
After a convenient pickup service by minivan from your hotel in Phuket or Khao Lak, and enjoying a light breakfast at the pier in Khao Lak, cruise by speedboat to Mu Ko Surin National Park. During the whole trip you will be attended by the carefully trained and lovely Wow Andaman crew.
Surin Islands is rated as one of Thailand's prime snorkeling sites with a phenomenal range of flora and fauna on the land and in the sea. The two main islands Koh Surin Nua (North Surin Island) and Koh Surin Tai (South Surin Island) form the bulk of the land mass. The other 3 satellite islands both enhance the overground vistas and provide supplementary fringing reef.
The casual tourist may be able to enjoy a glimpse of the park's promise whilst the naturalist can marvel at the impressive bio-diversity. During the day you will make several snorkel stops, at Pakkard Bay, at Nemo Village and at Ao Mae Yai, always with turquoise waters and colourful reefs and fish.
You will also visit the village of the Moken where you can meet the local Sea Gypsies. Discover their natural way of life, still dependent on fish hunting and building their homes from natural raw materials. They are very friendly and welcome kind explorers to their home.
Afterwards, make a stop on Koh Surin Nua for enjoying a delicious lunch at the National Park canteen. You will also have time for fun activities in the sun at Mai Ngam Beach or some hiking along the 2-kilometre walking path.
In the afternoon you will visit one more snorkeling site at Ao Mae Yai to explore the amazing coral gardens. Then head back to the pier in Khao Lak where you can enjoy light refreshments before finally being dropped off at your hotel in Phuket or Khao Lak.
Please note that the Mu Ko Surin National Park is officially opened to the public from 15th October until 15th May.
