Reviews
Enjoyed the visits. attractions are pricey but worth the visits esp for first timers to Istanbul. be prepared for a lot of walking and queuing. the heat was really hot. a mini portable fan would come in handy.
the tour guide was knowledgeable and ensured that you get to benefit from the tour. but it’s a walking tour which includes no transfer. you don’t enter hagia sofia either. misleading title of the tour.
Quite uncomfortable experience with the local tour guide. After paying entrance fees in cash, he already started asking about his tip. Didn't manage to visit Blue Mosque due to the crowd and half the time, the tour guide brought us to his friends' shops (carpets, jewelery, tea, leather) to buy things. Wasting time instead of actually visiting historical monuments. The worse was the tour guide brought us to random lunch spot with no signboard and the owner tried to charge us 3000 lira ($120) for simple tomato and cucumber salad, kebab and rice and 3 tea. The guide also initially wanted us to pay for his steak lunch. The only good part is that we skipped the line for Basilica Cistern, Palace, and Hagia Irene.
This was the worst tour I've ever been on. The bus only picks up and drops off at the hotel, and the whole tour is on foot. We paid the entrance fee separately. We were taken to a carpet shop where the owner spoke fluent Japanese, and we were locked in a separate room. The guide was gone, and we repeatedly said we had no intention of buying anything, but he tried to sell us carpets worth hundreds of thousands of yen, saying that it was for the purpose of letting us know about Turkish carpet technology, and we didn't return them until we bought them, so we said that we came to sightsee and that it was a waste of time, and asked him to call the guide. We waited about 30 minutes and the guide returned. It seemed that the tour of the Grand Bazaar had already finished, and we were told that the other people were having lunch, so we toured the Grand Bazaar by ourselves during the rest of the lunch break.
I have done 20 tours on Klook so far. Had the worst experience so far. The guide was decent but the tour was not at the standards and way too expensive for a 3 hour walking tour. As per the guide you need to buy tickets for all attractions(additional $70 around). only then he would take to those places. would not recommend this tour to anyone at all. At this price there is usually pickup and drop in vehicles, entrance tickets, lunch etc. This was absolutely no value to money
When I buy this I wasn't aware of walking. Didn't mention there. Seems we will be pick up by car.
Our timing was wrong as we went during Ramadan and hence it did not work out and long Que everywhere and took us about 3 hours to get back due to traffic
it is a walking tour! not recommended. guide didnt care about me and my friend.
