Chiang Mai Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Half-Day Cultural Tour

Since it was my first time in Chiang Mai, I couldn't miss Doi Suthep Temple, so I joined a Klook tour. I was very relieved that I could confirm the detailed schedule by email from the time I made the reservation until the day of the tour. On the day of the tour, the guide, who was fluent in English, Chinese, and Thai, was very considerate of us Japanese and kindly explained everything in easy English. I really enjoyed the tour.

Our Chinese tour guide was excellent! They shared the history of Doi Suthep and the story of the white elephant, and also took us to the Doi Suthep viewpoint to see all of Chiang Mai, which was truly beautiful.

Tour guide Huang was very attentive in explaining the history of Doi Suthep Temple and Chiang Mai University to enhance his knowledge. The top floor of the temple offers a distant view of Chiang Mai, and many tourists take photos. The university has beautiful scenery, and there are many places for shopping. Since it is close to the Loy Krathong Festival, there are many places for shopping on campus.

The cable car to the temple is more like a lift. Temple is grand. Bhubing palace is more like a botanic garden, nice to walk around.

Our tour guide, Vind Tel., is Thai. In addition to providing information, he also taught us how to worship at the temples, which we wouldn't have known how to do if we had come by ourselves. He also found beautiful spots to take photos for us and helped us with our poses. He's excellent and highly recommended.

This half-day tour is relaxing, with enough time to stroll around the university and visit the temples. Our guide, Mr. Li, was professional and provided thorough explanations. If you still have energy after the tour, you can ask the driver to stop at Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center to continue your shopping.
