Retaining the previous appearance, there are a lot of relevant information about the imperial examination system, but it will be a bit gloomy if you go at night. One of the rooms has the portrait of the owner, which almost scares me.
The inside is quaint, and the sparrow is small and complete. When there are not many people, you can take pictures. It is suitable for visiting the night market.
Hassle free booking from klook. Pleasant experience.
It was a great experience. After we book at klook it was easy redeeming tickets.
Ok, this trip is very satisfactory, I will come here to order next time. Praise
After the online purchase, the ticket will be displayed at the ticket counter of the Gaojia Courtyard. The counter will recognize the e-ticket, no problem.
Tickets convenient, payment is simple, will use Klook again.
Very convenient, tickets easily redemption, online ticket easy and quick.

Guide

  • Visit one of the best-preserved ancestral residences in Xi’an dating back 400 years
  • The courtyard was once home to seven generations of the Gao family – notable officials of the royal court
  • Know more about traditional Chinese lifestyle through period furniture, pottery, porcelain and paintings
  • Near other city attractions such as the Great Mosque, the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, Xi’an Ancient City Wall

Step back in time and catch a glimpse of how Chinese aristocratic families lived centuries ago with a visit to the Gao Grand Courtyard. Located near the end of the Muslim Quarter in Xi’an’s bustling shopping district, the Gao ancestral home sits on 4.2 acres of land and boasts a fantastic array of 86 rooms, 56 of which are open to the public. The courtyard was the former residence of Gao Yuesong, a high ranking official during the Ming Dynasty, and seven generations of his descendants who also served as royal court officials. Here you can appreciate antique furniture and other works of art from the Ming and Qing Dynasties such as delicate porcelain, pottery, and paintings. For an additional fee, you can also watch the shadow puppetry and learn crafts like papercutting. If you visit in the evening, you’ll see all the beautiful red lanterns lit and glowing.
