What to expect
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is located 45 kilometers from Hua Hin, between Pran Buri and Prachuap Khiri Khan. The name of the park means a mountain with 300 peaks. With its scenic views of lofty mountains, the park is close to unspoiled beaches and coves. A view on Khao Daeng Peak and Canal are more spots to enjoy great landscapes with the canal flowing the mountains. Caves like Phraya Nakhon cave is another site around the park with uncommon big karst window and a Thai-style pavillion build in honor of King Rama IV on his visit. Other caves like Tham Kaeo and Tham sai feature peculiar shaped stalagmites which make for an interesting ambience. Also, Thung Sam Roi Yot Wetland, one of the most biologically diverse area.

Reviews
The tour is amazing, I recommend taking it to everyone who visits Huahin. We've agreed on our own itinerary beforehand with the managers of the tour, so the itinerary you can see here is just an option. The driver was very nice and helpful on all the parts of our journey, and though he didn't speak English well we had no problem communicating with the help of Google Translate on our phones. We've visited the Phraya Nakhon cave first: took the boat halfway and then climbed the second mountain. The climbing part takes a lot of energy, so if you wish to save it the boat is a good option. It costs 400 baht (2-4 people) and takes you to the second mountain and back after you return from the cave. The second mountain is quite steep and I recommend finding some long sticks at the foot of the mount, it will make your climbing much easier. The sights on the way to the cave are very beautiful, so even if the climbing is hard, it is definitely worth it. The cave itself is magnificent and you have to get to the cave between 10 and 12 am to get the best view of the pavilion in the light beams. After that we've visited another cave (unfortunately I don't remember the name of it), but we didn't go deep inside because the guide told us that it requires crouching and my mom's back prevents her from doing that. The nature is still amazing all around the Khao Sam Roi Yot national park, so even the driving around part of the journey is very exciting. The last stop was the Thung Sam Roi Yot Wetland, the swamp-lake near the mountains, full of lotuses and lovely birds of all types. You can just walk around it on the wooden boardwalk or you can book another boat for 500 baht (2-4 people) and it will take you around the lake for about an hour and you will see the wildlife and some magical lake-mountain views. We've seen not only the birds but the whole monkey family on a tree:) The lotuses didn't bloom mostly, but it was still a breathtaking view. As for the tickets, aside from the boats it costs 200 baht for a person to buy a ticket to the whole national park, and after that you just show the same ticket in all the places you visit. We are also very grateful to our driver that he took us to a small fruit market on the way home upon our request. All in all amazing tour, highly recommended.
We had a great time on that day. our driver Mr. Pradit was very kind and he would point out interesting things along the way. We enjoyed all the attractions we visited. highly recommend this trip!
Enjoyed the Phraya Nakhon cave, which is beautiful and everyone takes pictures of the shrine. But the Bueng Bua boardwalk is even more picturesque, tranquil and stunning. it was unexpected and much more of a discovery.
Private car for a day, customized itinerary, no tour guide. Going up mountains and down to the sea, very exciting. If you want to go to the cave, you need to take a boat across the sea first. You will get wet when boarding the boat on the beach, so backpacks/bags should be waterproof. Climbing natural stone steps up and down the mountain requires a certain level of physical strength and knee endurance. The national park has a large wetland area. If you visit during the lotus blooming season, be sure to take a boat through the flowers. You can also see many migratory birds while walking on the wooden boardwalk, but unfortunately, there are no binoculars or long lenses to see what kind of birds they are. Finally, take a boat to the recently popular attraction, The Kissing Cave, stopping at several locations along the way for photos. Overall, it's an unforgettable experience.
Great trip, definitely do this if you're visiting Hua Hin. We purchased this the day before our tour. And shortly after purchasing, the tour operator reached out to us to discuss our itinerary. I think the itinerary is pretty standard, the cave is a must do and the lake is a forgettable. Don't forget, you're actually chartering the vehicle, so don't hesitate to go other places that isn't in the recommended itinerary. E.g., for lunch we drove somewhere else that had better reviews; we also requested for a different drop-off location at the end. The driver is nice, we were able to communicate better with Google Translate. He even felt bad to drop us off before his timing and suggested us to visit a local attraction. Overall, this activity is much cheaper than the other tours listed, and to be honest, you really just need a driver to get you around.
The driver, Mr. Pairoj, is very friendly. Although he can only reply in simple English, he also tries his best to communicate with you using translation software. He will also thoughtfully suggest economical and practical dining options. He drives very carefully and smoothly, and can accurately avoid traffic jams.
Great experience. Driver Mr. Pradit, was a retired teacher who spoke good English. Drive was pleasant, and we took the hike instead of the boat ride. Waves were choppy so no boats were going out anyway. The cave was fantastic. Managed to catch the sun rays shining in around 1030am. The boat ride on the lake was also a good experience.
Highly recommended to visit the Phraya Nakhon Cave. Be prepared to do quite a bit hiking up the climb. It is worth the climb. it is gorgeous. The Khao Sam Roi Yot wetland is another highly recommended place to visit if you like nature. It's beautiful.
Choose the recommended itinerary one. It is really a trip to the sea, up the mountain, and back to the sea again, but it is very worth it. My friends and I really like this itinerary.
The driver was very punctual, waiting at the hotel entrance. Although his English was good, he still used a translation device to introduce the attractions. Since we had other plans in the evening, we were able to flexibly adjust the route with the driver, which made for a truly great experience.
