Timba-Timba, Mataking and Pom Pom Island Day Tour in Semporna

Great experience going to mataking and pom pom island. Couldn't stop at timba timba Island due to government restrictions, however we stopped over in an area to snorkel. The guide was very helpful taking photos for us, we saw many sea turtles yesterday and tropical fishes with beautiful coral reefs. Got to see a lion fish as well. We had a great once in a lifetime experience. Would recommend this tour!

We set off in the morning and waited at the pier for more than an hour. I didn’t know if someone was late. I set out for Timba Timba Island for my first snorkeling. There were crew members with me, so don’t worry. Towels were provided. We had lunch at Mataking Island. It was a very simple lunch box. After that, I went snorkeling for the second time in the nearby waters, and then went to Bang Bang Island for the third time. There were many fish in the waters near Bang Bang Island, so beautiful!

We booked a day tour to Mataking, Timba Timba and Pom Pom island. unfortunately, due to our stay at Kapalai, we couldn't take that route. instead we had to re-arrange our guided snorkeling tour to only Pulau Mabul and Kapalai. Pulau Mabul wasn't so great, too busy with many tourist and the water wasn't so clear for snorkeling, didn't see much underwater beauty. But Kapalai is the total opposite, it's worth all your money if you like the underwater world. The guide, James was excellent. The staff at Kapalai resort were very polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at Kapalai, Semporna, 3D2N.

Driver pick us up from hotel and punctual. The guide is able to speak english. The guys are friendly and has sense of humour. The lunch was simple but filling. For the hike, its worth it because of the stunning bohey dulang view but note to bring insect repellent as there are many mosquitoes. Bring a good pair of shoes. Not advisable for those who has difficulties walking as the hike can be abit steep. Water and towels are provided. The waters are clear and pretty. Can see fishes and overall, its a great and pleasant experience.

Since there are so many Chinese people visiting Malaysia, the non-Malaysian tour is a Chinese tour. But the guide is kind and explains things well and it's fun! I recommend it.

Tour guide was responsible and fun to interactive with. They always look after everyone to make sure we are okay. Good communication as the agency would confirm with you the meeting location. Amazing place to snorkel and scuba dive (probably one of the best I have seen)!

The boat looked good with proper safety measures in place. There were around 5 staff on duty to take good care of all tourists. They were skillful, experienced, helpful and friendly. There were three snorkelling sessions at three islands. Water was crystal clear with beautiful corals and fish. I can't really swim and the staff were helpful to keep us company and move us around the sea. We were lucky and thrilled to spot a giant turtle. Lunch was included and tasted ok for me.

everything was good. only if pickup dropoff was offered it could have helped a lot. the snorkeling guide was crazy helpful and very talented. although they dont allow snorkeling without jackets. its fine because they ahve strict safety protocols. we got perfect weather even in late october. plus Yun sheng Travels who were our assigned tour team was very friendly & helpful, it was a nomadic ocean experience. They also offer scuba course for 140 Rm. I will be doing it under them next time for sure safety:
