Visiting the Bell Tower was truly a wonderful experience. The guided explanation about the history and operation of the bells was very informative and engaging. We even had the chance to try ringing the bells ourselves by pulling the different ropes that create the unique sounds often heard in churches across the UK. At the end, we received a certificate of completion for the short training on bell ringing, which made the visit even more memorable.

It’s always interesting to hear the relevant history of the past. Unlike other bell towers, a rope is used to swing the bell body to strike the sound. It is quite laborious for each person to try to pull the rope in turn.
