What to expect
O'Brien Icehouse delivers year-round ice skating in Melbourne at Waterfront City, Docklands, inside a modern arena with two Olympic-sized rinks. You share the ice with families, first-time skaters, and seasoned athletes, making it a welcoming spot whether you are learning to skate or returning for a fun winter-style activity any time of year.
At the Bradbury and Henke Rinks, you can enjoy relaxed public skating, watch fast-paced ice hockey, or see the precision of figure and speed skating. The crisp air, smooth ice, and clear stadium seating create an energetic atmosphere from the moment you lace up. For a smooth visit, book ahead during busy periods, wear warm layers and thick socks, and arrive 20–30 minutes early to collect skates and settle in before the session starts.

After placing an order on Klook, you will receive a QR code. You can get a paper bracelet by showing it to the staff at the entrance. You can rent shoes and helmets with the bracelet. Beginners must wear helmets, but others don't have to wear them.
easy to use klook voucher and slightly cheaper than buying at the door. nice venue with 2 large skating rinks
It’s great. It’s super convenient and saves time. Just show it to the counter staff with your phone😌😌😌😌It’s so fun. I will use this to buy tickets next time🎫
My husband loves his first time ice skating experience. He was challenge to be better in ice skating so probably would go back in few weeks.
Wonderful experience! It was friendly to beginners and you can always hire seal or skate aid. Heaps of fun!
it was great experience. my friends and I enjoyed, it’s wasn’t too busy have enough room for beginners
A great way to spend a morning or afternoon with the family. Great music, friendly and helpful staff.
Great fun for adults and children alike! More crowded on weekends than weekdays, naturally. We also got to watch an ice hockey game in progress on the other rink. Skate hire is included in the price. Hiring a locker for 3 hours is $4, which is plenty of time. A metal frame skate aid for 1 hour is $4 and a plastic seal (for small children to sit on and get pushed around) is $7 for an hour - be aware that it turns over on the hour of the clock, not one hour from when you started. Park in the West carpark at Docklands which is directly opposite the Icehouse - Google says it's permanently closed but that's not true.
Good value as skate hire is included. A bit crowded over the weekend.
Fun for couples, families and groups of friends, with or without kids. Dress in layers, as you will start out cold and then warm up as skating is cardio. Helmets are free to borrow, but you might want to bring your own for hygiene reasons. It would be great if they offered casual paid lessons for those who can't commit to a whole term at a time.
