Awesome place to see the various ships and other artefacts used by NZ. Provides an awesome history lesson and is a great place to spend the day, located along the viaduct harbour. It was also a beautiful day, so you can grab lunch at one of the many cool restaurants overlooking the waterfront. Highly recommend to everyone.
Worth visiting for and staff told me that I can go back if I go out for lunch or even the next day as long as I have ticket. For those whose working sea based this museum is for you ☺️.
The New Zealand Maritime Museum is a wonderful place to explore the country’s rich seafaring past. The displays are well put together — from the beautifully crafted early waka to impressive modern sailboats. One of the highlights was the fun and interactive migration exhibit, where you can step into the journeys of people who came to Aotearoa by sea and experience what life was like on board. Everything is easy to navigate, and the exhibits are informative without feeling overwhelming. A great way to spend a couple of hours and learn more about New Zealand’s deep connection to the sea.
Easy to book and resonable price. The staff from Marintime Muzium are also very helpful dan knowlegable.
It is worth going to learn about the history of past voyages. The on-site exhibitions are also very rich. You can spend an afternoon walking around
you don't need to plan a lot of time for this venue, a good place to learn the history of Maritime in auckland
It was very interactive and exhaustive, great to learn about history of boats and underwater species
It's good. There's a lot of stomach. It's really spacious, so make sure to take some food with you. It was fun with the kids. We also got a discount through Klook. It's the best. I need to work hard to write reviews and earn a lot of points. take care.
