we had a great experience with Hole in the rock tour. the views on the boat were amazing and the captain was friendly and informative. wildlife was great to see. The island stop was better than I thought with a hike that is a must do as the views are outstanding. The only downside was not going through the Hole in the Rock and we went on a beautiful sunny day so I struggled to see how often they would be able to go through it and they should advertise how often they actually go through the rock. other than this I had a great experience
I didn't see any dolphins because it was an afternoon tour, but it was nice to pass through the hall. I think the view is better from the front of the first floor than from the second floor. If you get seasick, you should definitely take motion sickness pills. We rested on the island for about an hour and a half in the middle, and it was completely healing.
The experience was amazing! We were able to see the Hole in the Rock from up close, even though we couldn't go through it due to the conditions. We also stopped at a beautiful island on the way, with enough time for a little hike and to grab something to eat.
It was a nice 4 hrs cruise. Bays of Island is a bit overrated. Having the ferry going through the rock hole was no big deal. Highlight for us is disembarking at an island for an hr to explore, which brought us up a gentile hill with great lookouts!
Enjoyable afternoon. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any dolphins and the rain detracted from the cruise experience. Stop on Urupukapuka was nice; especially enjoyed walking to the top of a hill for a lovely view. On the boat cruise, it was difficult to hear the commentary.
This was a great cruise with impeccable views. The dolphins were chasing us all along.
The entire cruise was wonderful. We actually went through the hole in the rock. Smooth sail. Lovely time out in the sea. Thank you.
It was an Amazing cruise. Really enjoyed the experience.the weather was also awesome.
3 halls of artwork that was interesting but merch was expensive
When we arrived the pier, the boat left the piers already... It should be departed at 0830 and participants have to check in at 0815 or before. We asked the CS and she gave us the option to pay NZ$40 per person to upgrade a tour depart at 1000, and be back at 1700. Lucky me.
