Museum MACAN Ticket in Jakarta

Museum MACAN is one of the best modern and contemporary art museums in Jakarta that I think is a must-visit, even for people who aren't art lovers. Its location is in the Kebon Jeruk area and it's quite easily accessible by public transportation or online ride. As soon as you enter, the ambiance immediately feels calm, clean, and a very well-curated experience.

Very beautiful artwork and installations. The info provided for each art are very insightful and easy to read. It's in both Bahasa and English. Went on the weekend in the morning and it wasn't so busy, recommended if you want to take personal photos/videos without getting in anyone's way. Staff were very friendly.

Great experience. The entire space is huge and plenty of installations to view. There is a Common Grounds coffee shop and a gift shop at the entrance.

The museum’s design itself is modern and elegant, complementing the exhibits beautifully. It’s a must‑visit destination for anyone who appreciates innovation, culture, and the power of contemporary artistic expression.

It's still great for children's experience and knowledge. However, the price might be a bit steep for some people. The rules are strict; backpacks and water bottles are not allowed (lockers are provided). There's a space for kids to doodle, and while the theme might seem a bit spooky to a layperson like me, my child was happy to write, draw, and stick things. The museum primarily displays creative works, such as paintings or other art pieces. The area is clean, and security is vigilant, so you won't get lost. The rules are clear, for example, no touching, etc. It's a must-visit at least once! Thank you.
