Arctic Village

Head to the place where the aurora and the starry sky intertwine. [Arctic Village] is the only place in China where the Northern Lights can be observed. Around the summer solstice every year is the best time to watch the Northern Lights. As night falls, gorgeous, colorful, and unpredictable auroras may appear in the sky, with light bands of green, purple, red, and others intertwining together.

The Northernmost Post Office

[The Northernmost Post Office] The post office building has a unique architectural style, adopting a wooden interior decoration style, filled with a strong northern flavor. The slogan "Welcome to China's Northernmost and Most Beautiful Post Office" is very eye-catching. Standing at the entrance is a giant mailbox towering 12 meters high, which has become an iconic background for tourists to take photos and commemorate their visit.

Arctic sandbar

[Arctic Sandbar] is located on the Chinese side of the Heilongjiang main navigation channel. It is the northernmost tip of the Chinese mainland, situated at the position of the "golden rooster's crown" on China's map. The sandbar contains numerous spots for check-ins and photo opportunities, such as the Crown of the Golden Rooster, Boundary Monument No. 138, the Oroqen Altar, the Xuanwu Altar, the North-character Stone Group, and the North Pole Point, among others.

Great Xing'an Mountains May 6th Fire Memorial Hall

20 min(s)
Self-guided
Free entry

The May 6 Fire Memorial Hall was built to reflect upon and commemorate the catastrophic forest fire that occurred in the Greater Khingan Range on May 6, 1987. It is a hall bearing heavy memories. The precious cultural relics displayed inside are like a key, unlocking that history which is too unbearable to look at yet impossible to forget.

Polaris Square

20 min(s)

[Polar Star Square] It feels as though time itself pauses for romance. The 153 steps on the square are like a stairway leading to a magical wonderland. When you reach the top and gaze into the distance, the entire panoramic view of the small town of Mohe unfolds before your eyes. The European-style architecture is dyed in a layer of golden light by the setting sun's afterglow, resembling a castle in a fairytale.
