(4) User Pay Centre Surcharges Certain location-specific visa centers may charge a User Pay Fee (approx. USD 76.5 / GBP 55). Exact amounts are subject to real-time system display and center policies. (5) Applicants Under 18 Minors must apply with an adult companion or provide the companion’s valid UK visa. Once approved, the minor must travel with the designated adult named on the visa.
• Important Notice for Minor Applicants: For applicants nearing 18 years of age, the visa is typically issued with a validity extending only up to approximately 6 months after turning 18. The final decision rests entirely with the consulate/embassy. (6) Authenticity of Documents All provided documents and information must be true, accurate, and complete. Submitting false information will result in visa refusal, future travel bans, or cancellation of visas held for other countries. (7) Verification Calls UKVI may contact applicants by phone for verification. Please keep your phone accessible and answer truthfully. (8) eVisa & Passport Policy UK visas are now digital (eVisa); no paper vignette will be issued. Passport retention during biometric submission depends on the local VFS/TLS center. Upon approval, applicants must register/login to their UKVI account to link the eVisa with their current passport before travel. (9) Processing Time & Travel Planning Processing time varies by individual case and UKVI schedule. We strongly recommend applying at least 2–3 months prior to departure. Do not book non-refundable flights or hotels until your visa is issued. Peak seasons may experience longer processing times.
