How to use your pass
Step 1 Choose your card duration
- Select the validity that fits your trip: 24, 48, 72, 96, or 120 hours
- Choose 72 hours or longer to unlock bonus perks like a free airport transfer, Matthias Church entry, and the Buda Castle Funicular ride
Step 2 Collect your card after booking
- After your purchase is confirmed, redeem your voucher for a physical Budapest Card at the designated pick-up point (details provided in your confirmation email)
- Bring your booking confirmation when collecting your card
Step 3 Activate your card
- Your card activates automatically the first time you use it — either by boarding public transport or entering your first attraction
- Once activated, it stays valid for your selected number of consecutive hours, so plan your first use accordingly
Step 4 Enjoy unlimited transport, free entry & discounts
- Show your card when boarding buses, trams, the metro, or trolleybuses — no separate tickets needed
- Present your card at the entrance of any included museum, gallery, or thermal bath for free admission
