Guide
- Duxiu Peak is located within the Jingjiang Prince City in the heart of Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a steep, solitary peak rising abruptly from the ground. This mountain, standing 66 meters tall, is known as the "Pillar of the Southern Sky." It is not only a famous karst peak in Guilin but also the cultural center and birthplace of human civilization in ancient Guilin, revered as the core of Guilin City's auspicious geomantic site.
- On its cliffs, there are over two hundred precious cliff carvings, among which the most well-known is the authentic masterpiece "Guilin's scenery is the best under heaven" left by Wang Zhenggong, a famous Neo-Confucian minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. At the foot of the mountain, there are also the ruins of the Reading Rock of Yan Yanzhi, a Southern Dynasties litterateur, and the crescent-shaped Moon Pool. As the natural backing mountain for the Jingjiang Prince's Mansion in the Ming Dynasty, Duxiu Peak carries Guilin's profound historical heritage and has been a beloved scenic spot for countless literati and celebrities since ancient times.
- Following more than three hundred steep and perilous stone steps, visitors can ascend directly to the Duxiu Pavilion at the summit. From this vantage point at the peak, the view is exceptionally broad. One can not only overlook the magnificent and ancient architectural complex of Jingjiang Prince City from above but also enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the bustling urban landscape of Guilin and the surrounding undulating beautiful peaks, evoking a sense of expansive spirit. It is the best place to take in the stunning scenery of the entire city of Guilin.
