Kuala Selangor Fireflies & Blue Tears Night Tour

10/10 – Highly recommended! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Malaysia. Mr Wilson was an amazing guide—friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about everyone on the tour. Our bus driver was also fantastic and made the whole day run smoothly. The silvered leaf monkeys, dinner and the fireflies were all incredible. Watching the mangroves light up with thousands of fireflies was truly magical. I was accidentally bitten on the finger tip while feeding one of the monkeys, and both Mr Wilson and our driver were amazing. They stayed calm, reassured me and made sure I was looked after, which we really appreciated. We didn’t get to see much of the Blue Tears, but that was simply due to the natural conditions on the night and was in no way the tour’s fault. A fantastic tour with wonderful people. We’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!

Highly recommended tour. Sasi provided very clear and informative explanations throughout the fireflies and blue tears trip. The knowledge sharing was excellent and the itinerary was well arranged. A very professional and reliable guide — we had a great experience.

This trip was very satisfying. We saw many wild monkeys while visiting the old fortress and were able to feed them for free the whole time. We ate a fantastic seafood meal by the Xue Nan River, and finally saw unparalleled fireflies and blue tears. The tour guide was patient, gentle, and professional, and the small group of ten people was perfect. Very memorable, a lifetime memory.

Tour guide: Very friendly, speaks Chinese and English. Itinerary: Not rushed! The long-tailed silvered leaf monkeys 😊 are very cute. Although we didn't see very bright blue tears due to the weather, the tour guide still worked very hard to let everyone see more fireflies. The taste of the group meal is also acceptable, but European and American tourists may not like sharing the same dish as much as Asians do. It is recommended to divide it into smaller portions.

The tour was great! Seeing the fireflies and blue tears was magical. Our guide, Darwin, was friendly and funny, and the driver, Guna, was a true professional. The food was delicious.

We were given the tour by Mr. Wilson and Mr. Sara. We learned a little history about that region and got to interact with the monkeys. Then had a delicious sunset dinner along the river! It was a seafood dinner but had lots of other options as well. Family style. Finally we took the boat to see the fireflies and the bioluminescent algae. Both were very difficult to photograph on a phone, so no pictures. But it was so cool to see them! First time seeing both for me, so it was quite memorable. I would highly recommend, especially if you are touring with Mr. Wilson and Mr. Sara. They were great!

Sasi did a great job with the tour. we saw fireflies, fed the monkeys, had a delicious dinner, and saw blue tears. due to traffic, they even dropped us off at our hotel on the way back. Sasi was very informative and patient with the entire tour group.

Well organised and enjoyable tour. Good tour guide Sasi looked after our group. Nice dinner included at a restaurant on the river close to where the boat leaves for the firefies. Great interaction with monkeys as well. Pickup and dropoff to our hotel was included as well. Good value for an enjoyable tour

The tour bus was so comfortable. I didn't have high expectations for Monkey Hill, but the view from the lighthouse was truly beautiful. The monkeys were a little scary for my child, but they didn't attack unless you had food. The fireflies were really amazing and beautiful. I saw them for the first time in my life!! My child enjoyed the Blue Tears the most. The food by the river was delicious, but above all, the view was amazing!!!!

First off I must say the guide is friendly and has good character he really made the tour enjoyable. My favorite stop was seeing the monkeys and the top of the city it was a great experience. Afterwards, I would say the firefly sightseeing was really nice especially since the fly into the boat and you get to see them up close and personal, but for the bioluminescent plankton you'll really haven to put in effort to reaching them and the boat driver did his best. Thank you for accommodating my food allergies it was much appreciated 👏🏼
