Guide
- Nanchang Han Dynasty Haihunhou National Archaeological Park, located in Xinjian District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, is a significant cultural landmark of Nanchang, a national historical and cultural city. It is the burial site of Liu He, the deposed emperor of the Han Dynasty, and is also the largest, best-preserved, and most richly endowed settlement site of a Han Dynasty marquisate discovered in China to date. The entire archaeological park not only authentically recreates the princely tomb system of the Western Han Dynasty but also astonished the world archaeological community with its massive unearthed precious artifacts, earning it the reputation of a three-dimensional "Han Dynasty Encyclopedia."
- Upon entering the archaeological park, the most central attraction is the Haihunhou National Archaeological Site Museum. The museum displays a large number of rare treasures unearthed from Liu He's tomb, including dazzling horse-hoof gold, kylin-foot gold, gold cakes, and other astonishing quantities of gold artifacts, as well as bronze vessels inlaid with gold and silver, exquisite jade articles, and bamboo slips and wooden tablets of great academic value. Through highly technological exhibition methods and interactive experiences, visitors can closely experience the luxurious grandeur and profound historical and cultural atmosphere of the Han Dynasty, as if traveling through time to witness Liu He's dramatic and legendary life.
- In addition to the museum, visitors can also take a sightseeing vehicle to Liu He's mausoleum for an on-site visit, experiencing the awe of archaeological excavation and the vicissitudes of history at the site. As a comprehensive archaeological park integrating archaeological research, cultural relic display, and cultural tourism, it is very suitable for history enthusiasts, archaeology fans, and family parent-child study tours. Whether marveling at the exquisite craftsmanship of the ancients more than two thousand years ago or exploring the rise and fall of the Han Dynasty marquisate, Haihunhou National Archaeological Park offers a rich and impressive cultural exploration journey.
