Hosted by Chowol Brewery and led by our professional brewer and certified sommelier, you'll enjoy freshly brewed makgeolli while exploring its unique flavors, rich history, and cultural significance.
Chowol means “to transcend” in Korean. We explore how traditional makgeolli can move beyond convention while respecting centuries of brewing heritage.
What to expect
Visit our brewery in person to explore the traditional brewing facilities and learn how Korean rice wine is made. During the tour, you’ll receive a brief introduction to traditional Korean liquor and makgeolli, including how they’re crafted and enjoyed in Korean culture.
You'll also enjoy a guided tasting session and receive pairing recommendations to help you match the flavors with Korean dishes. In addition, our host will be happy to share local travel tips and recommend hidden gem restaurants around Korea, making your experience even more enriching.
