- This itinerary requires at least 2 days for sightseeing. Guests arriving by train in Shigatse on the same day and departing by train the next day are not accepted. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact customer service support.
- Itinerary
- Day 1: 09:20 Gather at the entrance of Shigatse Intangible Cultural Heritage Center (license plate and vehicle model will be notified by the driver before 22:00 the night before)
- -Listen to explanations & visit at the Intangible Cultural Heritage Center
- -10:50 Pick up people at Shigatse Railway Station
- -11:30 Pick up at the gas station at the city exit
- -15:30 Jiatsuo La Pass (stop for 15 minutes)
- -16:30 Buy tickets/sightseeing car at Dabaimen, then to Wula Pass and 108 Bends (stop for 15 minutes)
- -17:30 Transfer to a sightseeing bus at Everest Town (1-hour tour). The group disbands at Everest Base Camp (accommodation self-arranged).
- Day 2: Return from Everest Town at 9:30 AM (subject to driver's notification)
- Arrive at Saga Ancient City at 12:30
- 2:00 PM Listen to the explanation at Sakya Monastery
- Return to Shigatse at 16:30
- Arrive at Shigatse Intangible Cultural Heritage Center at 18:30 for dismissal (catching the return train is not guaranteed, an overnight stay is recommended).
- Special note: Due to reasons such as the visit to Sakya Ancient City, the explanation at Sakya Monastery, and traffic congestion, it may not be possible to catch the last sightseeing bus at 6 PM on the first day. All passengers will be uniformly transferred to the early morning sightseeing bus on the following day to go to the base camp. Please prepare in advance.
- Ticketing and Travel
- Parking fees are the same for adults and children; children need to purchase a regular ticket.
- For orders placed after 10 PM the night before travel, please consult customer service support in advance to confirm availability.
- Required documents: Original Chinese mainland ID card.
- Vehicle and Environment
- For an 8-person group, a 9-seater Jiangling Fushun (new car within 2 years) will be used; for a 6-person group, a Fangchengbao will be used. All vehicles are in excellent condition.
- Due to the high-altitude climate, air conditioning will not be used throughout the trip in Tibet tour vehicles. Please add or remove clothing according to the temperature.
- Ticket discount policy [self-care]
- Free admission: Children under 1.2 meters, persons with disabilities (with disability certificate), and military personnel (with military ID card).
- Half price: Seniors aged 60 and above (with a Chinese mainland ID card), students (with a student ID card).
- Special Restrictions and Health Tips
- Not suitable for: seniors over 65, pregnant women, and individuals with infectious diseases/cardiovascular diseases or other conditions unsuitable for high-altitude travel.
- Plateau protection: Mount Everest Base Camp has high altitude and strong winds, so it's necessary to do a good job of sun protection and cold protection, and prepare energy supplements; prevent altitude sickness in advance, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive drinking, eat light food and drink more water.
- Other tips
- During peak season, processing documents may take longer, potentially delaying meals. It is recommended to bring your own snacks. - If you cannot reach the base camp on the first day due to document processing, the itinerary will be made up by departing earlier on the following day. We appreciate your understanding. - Please respect local customs, consume rationally within the scenic area, and retain your admission voucher.
