Guide
- Baishuitai, located in Sanba Township, Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, is known as the "Terraces of the Immortals" and is one of China's largest travertine terraces. The terrain here is layered, with milky white calcium carbonate deposits forming terraced layers, appearing as jade-like white under the sunlight. It is the birthplace of Dongba culture, filled with the mysterious charm of natural landscapes intertwined with ethnic culture.
- The scenic area is built against the mountain, with layered spring terraces resembling jade steps. Spring water flows down from above, gathering into mirror-like blue pools between the layers, creating a beautiful and magnificent sight. Visitors can ascend along the plank road, not only appreciating this rare geological landscape but also deeply experiencing the profound historical heritage of the Naxi Dongba culture. This is an excellent place for photographing natural wonders and experiencing the ethnic customs at the junction of Tibet and Yunnan.
- Baishuitai offers a tranquil environment, avoiding the hustle and bustle of traditional popular scenic spots, making it very suitable for tourists who love nature exploration and cultural photography. Strolling along the edges of these millions-of-years-old calcified pools, one can feel the ingenious shaping power of nature. This is not only a visual feast but also a deep spiritual journey to explore the mysteries of nature and ancient civilizations.
