Tuanshan Residential Quarters

Tuan Mountain Residential Complex, located west of Jianshui Ancient City, is a well-preserved traditional Han Chinese immigrant village. It has been listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit, backed by green mountains and facing the fertile Xizhuang Basin, boasting a good natural ecological environment.

The village retains numerous late Qing Dynasty residential buildings such as Zhang Family Garden, Huang'en Mansion, Yingzhang Mansion, and Sima Di. Their forms are regular, layouts flexible, and wood carvings, stone carvings, and painted crafts are exquisite, representing the high level of local architecture in southern Yunnan. It is hailed as a precious physical testament to the development of local private industry and commerce in modern China.
