What to expect

Paddle into the heart of Akan-Mashu National Park on this premium canoe journey across Lake Kussharo, Japan’s largest volcanic caldera lake, which offers an intimate connection with Hokkaido’s raw, non-commercialized wilderness.

The lake acts as a massive giant mirror, reflecting deep forest greens in summer and fiery crimsons in autumn. Geothermal activity warms sections of the shore, creating a unique ecosystem where wild birds gather.

Your professional, English-speaking local guide handles all navigation and equipment. We provide all premium technical gear—including life jackets and cold-weather apparel—ensuring a secure, cozy, and deeply insightful nature escape.
