Reviews
We visited the DMZ with our tour guide Julie on August 28th. I warmly recommend this tour that enables to see many different places : the peace Park, the gondola, camp Grieffe, walking in the 3rd tunnel and finally go to the Dora observatory to see North Korea. Julie was a wonderfull guide with a very good English and she could answer all our questions with enthusiasm!!
Everything was perfect, starting with the pickup instructions. We were a small group in a very comfortable minivan. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, and immediately made us feel at ease. The explanations were very interesting and moving. The tour itself is highly recommended: learning about this part of Korean history is a must and makes you understand many things. We were completely satisfied.
this was amazing I've been to both the third and 2nd tunnel now and I have to say the 2nd tunnel tour was by far my favorite. It was less crowded and a slower pass. Chuck our Guide was amazing as well so insightful and was very happy answering all questions
amazing experience with guide Jonathan! He is the perfect story teller and very passionate about his country and history. He also made sure we had the most comfortable experience throughout the day and made sure we got all the best photos at the best spots.
Jonathan was an amazing guide. his passion and dedication comes through as he introduced the various sites and history. thoroughly enjoyed the dmz tour to cheorwon and understanding the history behind left such an impression. pls join this trip it will be so worthwhile.
It was a wonderful experience with our guide Stella. She explained clearly about the history of the North and walking us through the tour. We are able to see the freedom bridge, sitting on the gondola, going through the history at the camp greaves and walking through the challenging third tunnel. But it was a pity that the observatory was closed because of the balloon incident.
It is my pleasure to join this Cheorwon DMZ day tour on 9 Sept 2024. We have two tour guides who speak english and mandarin respectively. Mine is with an English tour guide, Mr. Jonathan Kim. He is very knowledgeable in the history of Korea. His english is easy to understand. He did not only brief about the history of korea but also the current trends of Korea. His sharing makes me interested in exploring more about the Korean history. Whenever we pass by an area (which has history/ geography characteristics/ life, etc) on the bus, Mr. Jonathan will introduce the details about this area. So that we can eventually have an overall picture of this place in terms of history details. Besides, the arrangement of the trip is exactly following the tentative as described in the package of KLOOK. Besides that, they also take care of those who join this day trip. One of my shoes was broken, their team realised and later they called me. I saw them bring a shoes GLUE to repair it on the spot without any charges. I am so grateful that they are putting the customer FIRST. They do EXTRA care for the participants. Before I joined this trip, I did a comparison between Paju and Cheorwon in the reviews of KLOOK. I chose Cheorwon day tour by EG because I saw many good reviews about it, especially they includes much sightseeing of the history area. I enjoy many sightseeing including paddy field, taking a boat in cheorwon waterfall, new constructed bridges in Cheorwon, the second infiltration tunnel (very cold and comfortable), etc. Overall, I would like to conclude that I am satisfied for both OUTSIDE (Enjoy much sightseeing) and INSIDE (Learn a lot of the history and details about every place where we visited). I also get free 10,000 won voucher for me to get discount for any purchase in Myeongdong Lotte. After spending the money, then i go to claim to get 10 FREE masks. It is really worth to buy this trip package with EG Tour. I still like to travel to Korea. Perhaps I will rejoin this trip with my friend!
I just want to take the time to complement the tour guide Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and attentive. Be ready for a a good workout if you are doing 3rd tunnel since the monorail was out of service but still 100% worth it!
The tour of the Cheorwon DMZ is too underrated. I really enjoyed the day spent in this location. There are many meaningful historical places and our guide, Cecilia, made sure we would know about all the important places and events about this area. Besides the importance of the place historically and geographically, the scenarios were breathtaking. Very different and very beautiful. Our guide Cecilia was awesome. Very kind, very knowledgeable, just what I want from a good guide. Also, the Second tunnel was quite an experience. If you have back or neck pain, be careful. Many areas you really need to crouch and be careful not to hit your head. A vibrant “ouch!” Can be heart from people. Luckily we all had to wear a helmet, and now I know why. Also, be aware of the stairs! But it’s such an awesome and worth doing tour! Loved it! And thanks to our guides for making it extra comfortable and interesting!
Our Tour lead Sophia was great, taking us through the tour seamlessly and along with her tour support speaking in Mandarin David. Do take notw that the Paju Camp is not suitable for people that has mobility issues, there are slopes to climb but the view is awesome. learnt alot about the history, definitely recommended
Good to know
