good driver and car, safe trip

It was a pretty smooth ride going back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. The car was spacious and the driver was punctual. I also want to commend him for assisting me in resolving an issue with a paragliding company I dealt with earlier that day. Advice for travelers: Allot at least 7 hours of travel time. It only takes around 5 hours to reach Pokhara, but traffic jams usually happen especially near or within Kathmandu, and you may get stuck for another hour or two on the road.

I had expected at least a Japanese car like swift - maruti or Toyota but instead a 1000cc TaTa car was assigned. The journey back was on long treacherous mountain road. This journey is not for the fainted hearted. I had flew to Pokhara on Buddha air but I choose to return to Kathmandu via car as I wanted to experience something different. Entire journey took me 7hrs. We are stuck at the mountain TOP for 1.5hr due to a container truck getting stuck at a very steep slope & unable to move any further. It paralysed the entire two way one lane route. Eventually traffic police arrive onsite to re-direct the traffic & we were able to move on. It was an unforgettable experience
