[Gusuku Bingata Dyeing Workshop] Okinawan Traditional Craft Making
Over 55 years of history, offering authentic experience of Okinawa’s traditional Ryukyu Bingata dyeing craft, blending heritage with modern creativity.
Beginner-friendly activity where you can easily enjoy traditional dyeing by coloring pre-patterned fabric step by step, just like painting.
Take your handmade piece home the same day, with full support from staff to ensure a fun and worry-free experience—perfect for creating unique travel memories.
What to expect
Color pigments are applied to pre-pasted fabric by following a sample, using a coloring method from light to dark shades—similar to coloring a picture. You can take your dyed piece home on the same day. After drying for 5–7 days, rinse off the paste with water to complete the process. Staff will provide support, so even beginners can enjoy the experience with confidence.
