Beautiful palace, really enjoyed the visit. Shame that pictures are not allowed indoors. Nice cafe by the way.

Fantastic 5.0
You can learn about the history of Scotland. There is no line, so it was easy to enter. There is also the ruined monastery, the predecessor of Holyrood Palace, and the graves of Scottish royals, and the monastery is more impressive and solemn than the palace. Please note that there are only a few taxi pick-up points in this area.

Great 4.0
Within a brief walk from the popular Royal Mile lies this palace. Upon arrival, head over to the ticket counter and exchange for a physical ticket with your klook reservation. Remember to also collect the audio guide as it will help to enrich your visit experience. Beginning from the entrance and into each immersive hall and room, one can learn the rich but tragic history of the castle throughout the ages. I would say to allocate 1.5 hrs if you are keen to learn about each stop and to admire on the visual offerings. You'll also get a chance to go outdoor and stroll in the park for a more relaxed experience to unwind. This is also where you can get a view of Arthur's Seat. While this palace may not be as famous or as huge as the Edinburgh Castle, I would still recommend this for a less crowded but historically rich experience.

Great 4.0
One of the most significant locations in British/Scottish history! The Palace of Holyroodhouse allows you to see Mary, the Queen of Scots' chamber where the infamous murder of David Rizzio took place. The blood stains in the outer chamber always show up magically despite the redecorations...

Fantastic 5.0
Photography is not allowed inside the palace. Taking a guided tour is a great way to learn how people used the palace in the past. The abandoned church and botanical garden outside are also nice places to stroll around.
