Guangzhou Sunac | Yunora Private Ski Lessons

Last Thursday, I had another 3 hour session with Coach Roger at Guangzhou Sunac to refine my technique (previously I had 4 days of 3-hour lessons with Coach Roger on the first week of July where he taught me various basics and the transition to parallel). As I had partially forgotten some stuff after a month's break from skiing (e.g. angulation, edging, shin pressure, pointing skis upwards at the end of a turn to regulate speed, arm placement), Roger provided a revision of the key elements and we did drills of the inside leg which helped me get back the correct feeling of skiing. His instructions were clear and systematically delivered. I also got clearer on where to look before and during a turn. After the lesson, I practised solo for 3 hours more and felt more confident to ski down the intermediate slope with more control.

Booked two sessions on 9 and 10 September and requested Coach Roger again. He's a patient, understanding and reassuring coach who is meticulous in explaining concepts and troubleshooting my problems. From drawing out parts of a turn on snow and explaining what exactly to do at each point to doing flat land simulations to feel the movements before executing them on the slopes, it increased my knowledge and clarity. I tried the advanced slope for the first time and it was a progressive experience where I slowly got more comfortable with the slope and by the end of the day dared to look right ahead and link turns on it. While there were a few more successful laps, I still sometimes fail to fully establish balance on my outside ski and Coach Roger was patient to keep correcting my mistakes so I don't develop bad habits. I booked 4 of 3-hour ski sessions as I hoped to progress to parallel skiing. Customer service was prompt. Coach Roger delivered quality coaching. I appreciate that he Not only helped me to achieve the purpose I mentioned at the start but also ensured I understood the basics well. He provided targeted drills and explanations, insightful analysis on my movements with videos of my skiing, and also answered my queries thoughtfully. Appreciate the detail-oriented approach with a good balance of theory and ski practice.

An unexpectedly amazing ski trip! Roger's team took incredibly good care of us. We had three groups with three instructors in total, and all three instructors were excellent, catering to everyone from beginners to advanced skiers. I even learned how to do S-turns in just two days! I originally thought I'd be stuck on the snow machine for ages. A big thank you to Instructor Min for noticing my nervousness, patiently teaching me, and helping me relax to overcome my own obstacles. By the third day, practicing on my own became smoother and easier. If you're considering visiting Sunac Guangzhou or Shenzhen, I highly recommend booking with this team. It was incredibly rewarding! The coach taught us diligently and was very polite.

Coach Lau Chun Kwan is super nice! We were an hour late, but he was still very patient and helped us get all the ski equipment we didn't bring. He also helped us carry our gear and open lockers, then taught us one by one how to put on all the equipment. Once we got to the snowfield, he taught us very carefully, and his instructions were very clear!

Coach A-Jun's instruction was incredibly thorough and professional. Throughout the process, he filmed my runs, allowing me to see my own issues. He provided detailed explanations on both the magic carpet and the chairlift. This pace allowed me to fully understand and correct my problems. Yunora's customer service staff were also prompt and enthusiastic in their communication. Definitely worth a five-star review!

I am so glad I met such a professional coach who was able to quickly identify my issues and explain the movements starting from the basic principles. There is still a limit to how much progress you can make practicing on your own. It was a very fulfilling training trip.

The instructor was extremely patient and detailed, allowing a 5-year-old child trying skiing for the very first time to maintain enthusiasm and find skiing so much fun that they want to do it again next time. Compared to how this child usually behaves, this was simply touching! Highly recommended!
