Good to know

Walk slow and steady, especially above Manang, to avoid altitude sickness.
Always do an acclimatization hike in Manang (Chongkor Viewpoint or Ice Lake) before crossing Thorong La Pass.
Start very early (around 4–5 AM) on Thorong La Pass day for safer weather and firmer trails.
Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol at high altitude.
Carry warm layers, as temperatures can drop below freezing near the pass, even in peak seasons.
Use the upper trail via Ghyaru and Ngawal for better mountain views.
Keep some cash, as ATMs are limited after Manang.
