Exclusive gift: Take a double-decker sightseeing bus to tour Shanghai’s essential attractions. On the double-decker sightseeing bus, you will visit: People’s Square to The Bund to Oriental Pearl TV Tower to China Art Museum. If traffic control is implemented during holidays, the tour will switch to a regular bus. Grand Song and Dance Performance “Romance of Shanghai” is based on Shanghai’s magnificent historical scroll, interpreting Shanghai’s past and present. The performance recreates the heroic efforts of Lord Chunshen in dredging the Huangpu River during the Warring States period, the graceful charm of Jiangnan in Shanghai, the dramatic changes of the Shanghai Bund, the modern era of the “Ten-Mile Foreign Concession,” the ideals and passion of the Awakening Age, and the rapid changes and inclusive spirit of Shanghai in the new era, vividly showcasing Shanghai’s Red Culture, Haipai Culture, and Jiangnan Culture. Collection Information
- Take the double-decker bus at the May Thirtieth Movement Monument (International Hotel Station). You can take Metro Line 1, Line 2, or Line 8 to People's Square, then exit from Exit 8. The red sightseeing bus stop sign on the right is the boarding point.

- 13:00 Take the sightseeing bus from Exit 8 of People's Square Metro Station to tour People's Square to The Bund to Oriental Pearl TV Tower to China Art Museum. Arrive at Romance of Shanghai around 14:30. After the guide escorts you into the Romance of Shanghai scenic area and gives you the tickets, you can explore freely (tickets, performances, and shows are all included). After the tour ends around 18:30, arrange your return journey independently according to the time.
- 11:00 Take the sightseeing bus from Exit 8 of People's Square Metro Station to tour People's Square to The Bund to Oriental Pearl TV Tower to China Art Museum. Arrive at Romance of Shanghai around 12:30. After the guide escorts you into the Romance of Shanghai scenic area and gives you the tickets, you can explore freely (tickets, performances, and shows are all included). After the tour ends around 18:30, arrange your return journey independently according to the time.

Absolutely worth the money! Sight-seeing tour is just nice, covering key Shanghai landmarks. Performances at Romance Park are brilliant and awesome! Will not share any performance pictures to prevent spoiler.
The shows are very entertaining and educating , it shows the history and really bring the shows alive with non stop actions.

This place is fantastic. it was fun, vibrant and totally worth it. my only regrets was taking the afternoon slot as there was not enough time to see the other activities.

loved the day long experience at Romance park Shanghai. The park is well made and equipped to entertain all age groups with various interesting activities and engaging shows. Especially the main attraction, The Shanghai story not only enriched our knowledge about Shanghai but left us awestruck with the fabulous technique, lighting, stage design, property usage, and fantastic art. it was a magnum opus indeed❤️
nice experience! the trip with double decker was cool, guide was OK but spoke Mandarin very fast (I speak Mandarin too), performances were awesome. I knew new friends too and this trip is highly recommended by me mamavania_dijerman from Germany.
the absolute must visit place if you’re coming to China for the first time. the shows are in Chinese but make it every bit worth seeing. All of us including my son enjoyed it - the fights the dances the songs and effects all fabulous !!! must visit !!!
The main show is good, worth going. The park/theatre has other shows, you may spend few hours there. However, you dont really need the "free" double-decker bus tour, unless u just want to sit in the bus. I'd suggest you take metro to the park instead, save the time.
This is a truly spectacular show, the lighting, animation, and everything is amazing... rarely is there a show this spectacular.
