There were no shopping trips or hidden fees, which was great. Our driver and guide, Mr. Zhang, was also very responsible. The hotels were decent, especially the log cabins in Hemu, which were very nice, but the cleanliness of the hotels could be improved. Overall, it was pretty good.

The scenery in Altay is absolutely stunning. Our driver and guide, Mr. Li, is skilled and drives smoothly, his explanations are lively and enthusiastic, and he took care of us attentively throughout the entire trip, making this Altay trip full of surprises!! It was a very comfortable journey! The butler service was acceptable. Accommodation options: The cabins in Kanas had a bit of a smelly toilet, but the overall experience was excellent.

Good to know

  • Seat arrangement: The travel agency does not assign seats. Fellow travelers should discuss and take turns sitting (excluding the driver's seat);
  • Driver service: This tour has no guide, only a driver. Due to cultural levels and complex road conditions in Xinjiang mountainous areas, long-distance driving requires high concentration. The driver will remain vigilant throughout the journey and cannot be distracted by excessive conversation or interaction with tourists. Your safety is our greatest responsibility. Please make your travel plans in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
  • Explanation of leaving the group: During the trip, if you choose to leave the group midway, the uncompleted portion will be considered voluntarily forfeited. Only the unused expenses from your itinerary will be refunded, and the transportation fee will not be refunded;
  • Discount policy: During winter, some scenic spots in Xinjiang (Kanas/Hemu/Jiangjunshan) already enjoy off-season discounts/free ticket policies. This group tour price has already been reduced, and no further discounts will be given locally for any certificates, nor will there be any price difference to be refunded. For Sayram Lake Scenic Area, if you hold active/retired military, disabled, or other special certificates, please inform us when registering and bring the relevant certificates (if not brought, we cannot arrange a refund for you);
  • Other explanations: During the trip, if attractions are closed due to force majeure factors and cannot be visited normally, both parties will negotiate to cancel or replace the attraction based on the actual situation, and the price difference will be refunded or supplemented on site;
  • Pre-trip reminder: You will receive a tour notification call or text message from the travel agency before 22:00 on the evening before the tour. Please pay attention and keep your phone open. If you do not receive any notification after 22:00, please contact the sales representative who registered you in time;
  • Other reminders: Due to the long distances between various attractions in Xinjiang, pregnant women and seniors over 73 years old cannot register. (Guests over 70 years old must sign a waiver and be accompanied by family members). Those under 18 years old need to be accompanied by a direct relative, and children under 2 years old are not recommended to register;
  • Group tour explanation: This itinerary is a national group tour for 2-6 people (2 people to start/6 people maximum). Due to the random grouping of guests, it is impossible to screen the age, gender, region, and other information of fellow travelers in advance. Special reminder: Tourists with special requirements for social environments are advised to choose customized car rental services.
  • Hemu Scenic Area: Due to policy reasons, the number of reserved spots to enter Hemu Scenic Area is limited. The car will stop in the parking lot, and the driver will take you to transfer to a public bus to enter the scenic area.
