- Skiing Tips: Please note that skiing is a high-risk sport, and personal safety is paramount. Skiing is exhilarating, but it can be risky for beginners if not carefully considered. Please fully assess your physical condition and act accordingly. Skiing can be physically demanding, so it is best to eat some chocolate and hydrate before skiing. Before skiing, warm up all your joints, such as your arms and legs, with stretching exercises. When walking on snow and ice, your knees should be slightly bent and your body should lean forward to prevent falls. Before skiing, read the ski resort guide carefully to understand the relevant regulations and conditions, and learn basic skills from an instructor. When skiing, follow the instructions of the staff and do not enter the mountains and forests or advanced skier trails without permission. The skiing activities arranged during the trip are mostly in the mountains and forests, and tourists should pay attention to fire prevention.
- Snow reflects strong ultraviolet rays and sunlight, so we recommend bringing sunglasses to prevent snow blindness.
- Our guests come from all over the world and use various platforms. Please refrain from price comparisons. Thank you for your understanding.
- Frostbite Prevention: In cold outdoor environments, avoid direct contact between moist skin and metal objects to prevent skin damage.
- Documents: Please ensure you bring your ID card, and children should bring their household registration booklet or other valid ID. Foreign visitors should bring their passports and residence permits, and Taiwanese compatriots should bring their Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents. You will need to present these documents for flights and hotel accommodations during the tour.
- Clothing: In Northeast China during winter, outdoor temperatures are around -20°C, while indoor temperatures are +25°C, resulting in a significant temperature difference! Clothing principles: Wear quick-drying, sweat-wicking base layers; layer outerwear for warmth, and be comfortable wearing single layers when it gets warmer. Outerwear/outer pants/shoes should be as waterproof as possible (especially for children, who easily get wet in the snow). Recommended family outfit formula: Tops (4-5 items): quick-drying shirt + thermal underwear + sweater/sweatshirt + down vest + over-the-knee down coat (fill power 300g+) Bottoms (3 items): quick-drying pants/long underwear + thermal pants/warm pants + windproof/waterproof pants/ski pants (windproof, waterproof, and snow-resistant to prevent wet pants are preferable) Shoes and socks: cotton socks/cashmere socks + heat-generating insoles (for those sensitive to cold) + snow boots/fleece-lined hiking boots. Shoe size should be one or two sizes larger than normal to accommodate insoles and thick socks, protecting feet from frostbite. Accessories: fleece-lined hat + scarf + gloves (2 pairs recommended: one pair of waterproof gloves for playing in the snow, one pair of fleece touchscreen gloves for using your phone) + earmuffs + thick face mask (not disposable! for wind protection) Electronics: Cell phones, cameras, power banks, etc., are prone to low-temperature shutdowns during prolonged outdoor activities. Keep them in inside pockets to keep warm. Skincare: Toiletries, sunscreen, moisturizer, sunglasses (strong glare from snow reflection on sunny days, strong UV rays, dry indoor heating, so protect against sun and moisturize). Other: Common medications + snacks + ID card/small amount of cash + hand warmers (a lifesaver for Southerners) + thermos (for hot water & turning water into ice)
- Medications: Purchase motion sickness medication, Rendan, anti-inflammatory drugs, gastrointestinal medicine, berberine, cold medicine, bandages, and other commonly used medicines according to doctor's advice. Guests with heart disease or hypertension should bring their required medications with them.
- Cuisine: The staple foods in Northeastern China are rice and wheat-based dishes. Stews are also a major feature, with the famous "Eight Stews": Pork Stew with Vermicelli, Mutton Stew with Sauerkraut, Beef Stew with Potatoes, Pork Ribs Stew with Tofu, Mushroom Stew with Chicken, Demoli Fish Stew, Carrot Stew with Pork Ribs, and Beef Stew with Shredded Radish. Northeasterners enjoy eating raw vegetables, either in cold dishes like the common "Home-Style Cold Salad," which mixes various fresh vegetables with bean curd products and glass noodles, or in dishes like Cucumber with Cold Skin Noodles; the other way is dipping vegetables in sauce. Northeastern cuisine emphasizes salty and spicy flavors, with a focus on saltiness, heavy oil, and strong colors, which may not suit your taste. It is recommended that tourists bring some convenience food in case of need.
