Reviews
The staff at the store were very enthusiastic, and the kimono dressing process was very professional. This kimono experience added a lot of fun and memories to my solo trip. Thank you to everyone.
It was a very pleasant experience. I booked an early morning kimono fitting, and Klook happened to have a special deluxe package on sale (30% off). This included choosing the best yukata, three accessories, and a two-star hairstyle. As someone who struggles with choices, the staff worked hard to give me suggestions, and the resulting outfit was indeed luxurious and cute. It's quite different from wearing a standard yukata, so I recommend everyone try the deluxe package for a more special experience.
The location is convenient and easy to find, and the staff are incredibly friendly and patient, making the whole experience very comfortable! While there aren't a huge number of kimono styles, they are beautiful enough. Since we had children with us, the staff were very attentive to them and offered many helpful suggestions. Next time friends visit Sendai and want to try on kimonos, I will definitely recommend this place.
While the selection of kimonos may not be as extensive as in major tourist areas like Kyoto or Asakusa, there's still a wide variety of styles available. The staff are attentive and offer helpful suggestions, and the hair accessories are beautifully coordinated. We highly recommend this experience when you visit Sendai!
I participated in the Tanabata Festival on a weekday morning. Although I had a reservation, there was no limit to how many people could be in the same time slot, so the indoor area was packed with a large crowd, and the staff were quite busy. Women had to wait in line for both dressing and hairstyling. This was my first yukata experience. Perhaps because of the large crowd, the staff couldn't guide everyone individually. After entering, I had to figure things out on my own and ask other guests around me. I purchased the deluxe plan, which should have allowed me to choose 3 accessories, but the staff on-site said all of them required an additional charge, which confused me (even after I stated I had the deluxe plan). It seemed not all staff members were aware of the details of the different plans. For hairstyling, the staff proactively checked the plan and offered different options and accessories accordingly. Although the staff didn't speak Chinese, I could tell they had excellent service attitudes, patience, and professionalism. During dressing and hairstyling, they constantly checked with guests to ensure it wasn't too tight and met their expectations. The attire felt comfortable and allowed for free movement. There were fewer choices for men's kimonos, and the shoe sizes were limited. My family member has larger feet, and after wearing the shoes for an afternoon, the straps chafed his skin. I had a 9:30 AM reservation, and the entire process was completed by 11:30 AM. Men finished much faster. This is something to consider when planning your itinerary. Overall, it was an interesting experience. If it's your first time, I recommend thoroughly understanding the plan details before you go and having a translation app ready for communication. Arriving early will also help prevent delays to your subsequent plans.
Since it was the first day of the Tanabata Festival, I made sure to set aside two hours in the morning for early preparation. All the kimonos were so beautiful, it was incredibly hard to choose! Is wearing a kimono a super complicated process? Not at all! Every staff member helped me get dressed so quickly, and the hairstyling was incredibly professional and meticulous. Every staff member was like a fairy godmother. I would definitely visit again if I have the chance.
The staff thoughtfully helped us choose and style our outfits, creating a warm atmosphere. We ended up looking both elegant and adorable for our outing.
