What to expect
This is a one-day Noboribetsu itinerary starting from Sapporo, with a smooth route that avoids backtracking. In one day, you can leisurely experience lake views, a ranch, volcanic landscapes, and a hot spring town. In the morning, gather and depart from Sapporo city center; you can board at JR Sapporo Station or Odori Park. You'll arrive back in the evening, so the day's itinerary won't be too rushed and won't affect your evening plans. 🚌
Along the way, you'll pass through the Lake Toya area and stop at an observation deck, where you can overlook the lake and surrounding natural scenery. The standard route includes Kyogoku Spring Water Park, where the spring water is clear, and on a clear day, you can see a distant view of Mount Yotei, making for a refreshing experience and good photo opportunities 📸. In winter (starting November 10), the route adjusts to a snowy landscape, and on some dates, you can experience snowmobiling (at your own expense), creating a more distinct winter Hokkaido atmosphere. ❄️
Midway, there's a stop at Lake Hill Farm. The ranch environment is open and the pace is slow, making it suitable for a leisurely stroll, taking photos, and providing a relaxing buffer for the trip. Afterward, you'll head to Showa Shinzan Bear Park (admission not included), where you can see brown bears up close, a popular spot for many first-time visitors to Hokkaido. 🌿
In the afternoon, you'll enter the Noboribetsu area. Jigokudani (Hell Valley) is a representative landscape on the itinerary, with its volcanic terrain and rising white steam being highly recognizable. Afterward, you'll have free time to explore Noboribetsu Onsen Street, where you can wander around, buy souvenirs, or have a simple meal, with no mandatory arrangements and relatively flexible time. ♨️
Overall, the itinerary leans towards a "leisurely and convenient pace," not focusing on checking off many sights. It's more suitable for those who want to casually enjoy Hokkaido's natural scenery, are visiting Noboribetsu for the first time, or prefer a relaxed one-day trip. The itinerary time is based on Japan local time, and the day's sequence may be reasonably adjusted due to weather or road conditions.

Reviews
Our Hokkaido trip to Noboribetsu, Showa Shinzan, and Lake Toya was absolutely superb! The highlight was definitely the snowmobiling at Snow World Toya—such an adrenaline rush. Our travel agent and guide, Mila, made the experience 5-star quality. She was incredibly kind, caring, and shared fascinating insights into Hokkaido’s history that kept us engaged the entire time. I never felt bored for a second! Logistics were seamless; she texted us a day in advance with clear meetup details, ensuring everything went smoothly. Highly recommend booking this, especially if you get Mila as your guide!
Hey Mila!! Thank you!!!!! First of all, thank you so much Mila. Thanks to Mila, I had a fun and comfortable trip to a great travel destination!! I've been to Japan more than 15 times so far, and all I've ever done is eat, see, and buy things. My friend and I wanted to experience an activity, so we booked a unique trip through Klook and applied for a tour under Mila's guidance and went for a day. Actually, I hesitated because they only spoke English & Chinese, but I applied because I wanted to ride a snowmobile in a cool way. Sure enough, there were only me and my friend, two Koreans, on the tour lol. But I really enjoyed it. Everyone should definitely ride a snowmobile at least once, the thrill is amazing. It was nice that Mila kept asking me kindly if I had eaten and if I had enjoyed watching it. I'm sorry that the two guys didn't listen to me and kept looking for smoking areas and running around, which made Mila anxious. Mila, you will be blessed. You took pictures and treated me kindly and led me to the end. Even if you don't speak Korean, she will explain everything slowly in English. If other people come, Biei tour is good, but you should go to Noboribetsu. It's good to just look around and it's good to experience activities. Mila!! Arigato!!!
I really enjoyed this tour especially the snowmobiling. Our tour guide Tracy is very knowledgeable and friendly, she did some games to entertain us and keeps telling us some facts about the locations in the tour. The interval in the locations is a bit tight but it was understandable because the locations are far away to each other. Highly recommend!
Our day trip guide, Xiaoyu, was very dedicated and enthusiastic~ The snowmobile ride we were looking forward to was a lot of fun! It was a worthwhile experience... The guide also recommended trying the delicious ice cream at Claire Farm, and it was quite good! We were lucky that the weather was great for the day trip! The timing was perfect~
This was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Xiao Hong, was very polite and thoughtful. She introduced us to Hokkaido's unique characteristics, explained each attraction, and highlighted special limited-edition items. She also thoughtfully reminded us of things to pay attention to. Additionally, we had another guide, HK Kelvin, who provided heartwarming explanations in Cantonese and even helped everyone take photos with a professional camera. He patiently discussed the features and usage tips for skincare products with us. We truly had a very enjoyable day.
interesting tour. my guide Mila very nice she will speak and introduce in mandarin ans English. unfortunately, it is raining the whole day but luckily still mage to carry out all the activities as in the itenary
Thank you to our tour guide, Mila! Her explanations throughout the entire trip were incredibly clear and vivid, allowing us to easily understand the stories and unique characteristics of each attraction along the way. We also learned a lot about Hokkaido's culture and history. The itinerary was very well-planned and flowed smoothly, with excellent time management, so we never felt rushed. Overall, we had a fantastic time. The snowmobiling was incredibly fun and was one of the most memorable experiences of the trip! The scenery was also stunning, making it truly worthwhile to experience. The landscapes of Noboribetsu and Lake Toya were also breathtakingly beautiful. The scenery along the way was like a postcard, making us want to take photos constantly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and unforgettable trip. We are also very grateful for Mila's attentive care and professional explanations throughout the entire tour. We highly recommend it to everyone!
Enjoyed thoroughly our tour with Mila-san. Our highlight was our snowmobile experience with a short stop for viewing Lake toya. Mila-san was very attentive and helpful to everyone. Love the vibe of the trip!
A packed itinerary but a real value for money. Wish we could have stayed longer at most of the locations as they were so pretty and worth exploring. Guide was friendly and informative.
I was very satisfied with today's day trip, especially thanks to our tour guide, Xiao Hong. He explained the history of Hokkaido and each attraction of today's day trip in detail in both English and Chinese. He also enthusiastically recommended Hokkaido's local delicacies. The tour time at each attraction was well-arranged. Although it was rainy today, it added a romantic touch to our tour!
Good to know
Weekends and holidays in Japan (especially during the Obon Festival period around August 13th to 16th) are prone to traffic congestion, and some attractions may close early. The itinerary may be adjusted or shortened depending on the actual situation. We recommend not booking dinner, flights, or Shinkansen in advance, and bringing light snacks and a portable charger. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you need to bring luggage, please inform us in advance. The luggage fee is JPY 2000 per piece, payable in cash to the driver or tour guide on the day. Please pay attention to your email. If we cannot contact you through messaging apps, we will contact you by email. We will do our best to accommodate your seating requests, but as this is a shared tour, seat allocation is mainly on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have special needs, please let us know in the remarks, and we will do our best to arrange a suitable seat for you. The final arrangement is subject to the coordination of the tour guide on the day. We hope to have your understanding and tolerance. Thank you for your consideration. Please be aware that as this is a group tour, there may be guests of other languages traveling with you in the same vehicle. We apologize for any inconvenience. The tour will be canceled if the number of participants does not reach the minimum group size. You will receive an email notification of the tour cancellation 1 day prior to departure. In the event of bad weather conditions such as typhoons or blizzards, a decision will be made 1 day prior to departure (local time 18:00) as to whether the tour will be canceled. You will be notified by email as soon as possible thereafter. Please wear light clothing and shoes and bring warm clothing (if needed). The above itinerary is for reference only, and traffic conditions are beyond our control. Please avoid scheduling activities for the evening. We apologize for any delays. Our company is not responsible for, and cannot offer refunds or rescheduling due to inability to participate in the tour or poor-quality scenery photos due to traffic, weather, or other force majeure factors. Thank you for your understanding. If the itinerary or stay time at each attraction is adjusted due to traffic congestion, facility maintenance, etc., please inform those who are aware of the situation. The company will not provide any refunds to customers who abandon the tour midway due to personal reasons. Please be sure to arrive at the designated meeting point at the specified time and do not be late. As this itinerary cannot be changed to other departures or joined midway, if you fail to participate in the day tour due to your own reasons, you will be responsible for the corresponding losses. Free participation for children under 2 years old who do not occupy a seat requires a remark; if there is no remark, arrangements cannot be made. Type of vehicle used: Vehicle will be dispatched according to the number of people. When a small number of people participate in the tour, the driver will also serve as an attendant to provide full tour service. There will be no additional tour leader assigned. Please be aware. Weather conditions will affect the best viewing period for flowers or autumn leaves. The itinerary will not be canceled or refunded for this reason. Please be aware. Because there will be a large crowd of people during the flower season/autumn foliage season, there is a possibility of severe traffic jams. It is recommended to bring your own light snacks.
