As soon as I got on the bus, the driver/guide handed me a paper to sign. Actually, at 3:00 AM that same day, the driver sent me a text asking if I wanted to participate in optional activities. Since it was so early, I replied "participate in everything." When I saw the paper, I finally understood the prices of the activities, but he didn't explain anything. Photos attached!
Every morning, the driver/guide didn't greet the guests proactively, not even a "good morning!" 😡😡 There wasn't much explanation throughout the whole trip, and it wasn't clear if he was the driver or the guide! If there were time limits at each spot, guests should have been informed about the meeting time and location.
Honestly, I've had French food quite a bit myself, and I've been to France more than 10 times. I really didn't expect such poor quality. They gave me yellow, half-cooked fried rice instead of pasta, without any explanation! The driver/guide asked how I wanted my steak cooked (medium-rare), but it came out well-done! At another French lunch, I ordered tiger prawns, but they were probably left out for too long; the surface was dry and the texture was rubbery. They also didn't follow up on our issues. Honestly, I wouldn't pay that much for such terrible food myself.
The worst was the Chinese buffet... speechless.
The timing for sightseeing was even worse. The Klook schedule said one hour, then the arrangement was two hours, which was very different from reality. At some attractions, there simply wasn't enough time to enjoy them; we could only walk around and take a look!
The meeting time was already early, but I didn't expect to have to wake up even earlier for the next two days. Breakfast was at 8:00 AM one day and 7:30 AM the last day, and it was super simple/basic.
I've been to petit champions myself and the service is better, cheaper, and the food quality is better! It's not like someone said in French that I wouldn't know what I was eating and would have to pay taxes! I have to pay certain consumption taxes when I travel anyway! And tips too!
For such a long journey, a comfortable vehicle should have been arranged. We couldn't even adjust the seats back a little to rest our legs.
The worst thing was that the driver's driving was really bad. One time, we almost crashed into a stone curb. The driving was very shaky, and he would suddenly brake hard!
Finally, I was really angry. One of the guests asked to be dropped off near the Sheraton Hotel, but the driver told them that either everyone gets off, or they have to get off at the designated location! He said there was no place to park to unload luggage. So rude!
Why did everyone have to get off? Why did everyone have to get off? Why did everyone have to get off?
In the end, I didn't get back to 438 University Street until after 8:00 PM...
I've participated in quite a few Klook travel plans before, and I've never had such an experience!
