Siem Reap Banteay Srei & Kbal Spean Full-Day Tour with Landmine Museum
- Banteay Srei: Famous for the most detailed and delicate stone carvings in all of Angkor. Built from a rare rose-pink sandstone, giving the temple its warm, vibrant color.
- Kbal Spean: The riverbed is carved with lingas (symbolic representations of Shiva), lotus flowers, Vishnu, Lakshmi, and other deities, all directly etched into the rock under flowing water.
- Landmine museum founded by Aki Ra: Used a stick and homemade tools to defuse mines he once laid during the Khmer Rouge era, opening a small museum in 1997 to fund his work.
What to expect
The driver will go to pick you up at your hotel at the same time of your departure time and then take you to buy the temple ticket. After that go aheart to Kbal Spean. The River of a Thousand Lingas. The trail was shaded and serene, with butterflies flitting through the trees and the sound of birds in the canopy above.
Next: Banteay Srei, the Jewel of Khmer Art, its glowing pink sandstone structures. Though smaller in scale compared to the massive Angkor temples, it was bursting with exquisitely detailed carvings, with an artist’s love and precision.
Final Stop: Cambodian Landmine Museum On our way back, founded by Aki Ra, a former child soldier who now dedicates his life to clearing landmines and helping those affected by them. After that we return back to your hotel.

I wanted to visit Banteay Srei and Kbal Spean, but since they are far, I was told there would be an extra charge for a time-based tuk-tuk charter. So, I chose this tour, which has a fixed itinerary from the start. The driver was also kind, and I had a great time.
Very friendly tuk tuk driver. Give water and fresh towel and drive well. The Kbeal Spean need a treck up Hill, not like other temple. It’s a nice 45 mn walk on the jungle with some steps.
