What to expect
Travel the off-beaten path in Bali and go white water rafting down the Telaga Waja River. Despite being in a quiet and secluded area, white water rafting is a wild (albeit safe) water sport that's perfectly suited for nature lovers and adrenaline junkies alike. A professional team will assist you, so there's nothing to worry about. Throughout the 14-kilometer course, you'll get to see beautiful panoramas of mountains, waterfalls, rice fields, and stone cliffs. Around Rendang Village, you'll be greeted by fresh mountain air and (if you're lucky) exotic wild birds. A delicious chef-prepared Indonesian buffet lunch will be waiting for you at the finish point.

Reviews summaryThis was a very satisfying activity. We stayed in Ubud and were picked up on time. There was some traffic along the way, but we arrived at the river more or less on schedule. Coffee and tea were offered. There was no wait time; the rafting started immediately. You don't have to walk as far as you do at the Ayung River. The rafting is 17 kilometers long and very exciting. The guide spoke Japanese. We stopped at a waterfall along the way where the guide took pictures for us. The waterfall also serves as a rest stop. Drinks and snacks are sold there, and there are also Indonesian-style toilets. After rafting, we showered and had lunch. The lunch included Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng, which weren't spicy and even kids could eat them.
it was an amazing experience! This is a “must book” activity if you like white water rafting. Whole rafting journey took about 2.5hrs and there were a lot of nice waterfalls and sceneries along the way. Remember to tip your guide if you like their services. Even the buffet lunch was not bad and they allow us to shower after that. I like the vegetable soup the best! Pick up and return by driver was smooth too although the journey is a bit long from Ubud, about 1hr 15min per way. Overall, fantastic, thanks Klook!
BTR was great company to go with, great guides are funny and experienced, the rafts are great condition. the river in the east is better than the ubud river as its constant white water with no big stair climbs, transport was great too.
Must do activity in Bali. I saw 7-8 year old kids and 70+ year old elders participating. it is managed very well from pickup till drop. Unlike rafting in Saying river, there are no steps to go down or come up -- this is a big plus. on top, the water is crystal clear and the views are spectacular
So far the best experience my family have throughout the other booking trip while in Bali. Leave our hotel at 8am and everything ended around 2pm and reach our hotel around 4pm. so basically almost 1 day gone. Journey took around 4 hrs back and flow. Was fun and the weather was good. Our instructor was very friendly and professional, also keeping a look out for our safety especially we have 2 kids age 9 and 11 on board. we start off and end total of 18km ride with 2 stop over for rest and photo taking at the waterfall. The water is clear and cold while the scenery was beautiful . Lunch and shower was provided before we head back to our villa. Strongly recommend to go for water rafting vs sea sports as you know the money is well spend, your family will enjoy the activity and won't be short change.
*** Our guide was Encik Balckie , although he doesn't joke much but he is very safety minded and most of the journey does not require us to put effort to paddle . The only thing I want to ask for is to have a properly washed helmet with. Our was full of others sweat smell ,so awful....the jacket was good enough without any smell and in good condition. I have tired on ayung water rafting 5 years back . I would say telaga saja was more fun but also more tired due to 2.5 hours . The scenery was alot better than ayung, this water rafting also offer so many small waterfall over the route .it's more extreme than ayung but kids definitely can enjoy without much hazard. One thing to set apart from the ayong water rafting is the need to talk some distance to starting and finish line .
i trully love the experience!! my tourguide Wayan is very great and very careful with us!! thank u Wayan.. we had a wonderful tine!! thumbs up!! more cheaper than the other ..
It was awesome experience. Guide Nyoman was superb. They guided us throughout. even clicked videos and photos of us. Overall very superb experience. Must try in Sidemen
super fun super safe, no regrets at all doing this activity, photos they took were really good too! our guides were really friendly and funny, made jokes along the way, MONEYS WORTH !!!
I think rafting on the Tragawa River is definitely more fun than on the Ayung River! It's a long 3 hours, but I'm so happy to be able to see the great nature of Bali while going! Our guide was really good at rowing and explaining things well👍🏻👍🏻 It's better not to expect too much for lunch.
