Fantastic 5.0
The performance was wonderful, allowing us to understand the history and culture, the meaning of life, and the importance of life. It's really worth watching, whether it's the theme or the performance, it's all too wonderful.
Guide
- "Technology Blends with Ancient Charm" uses holographic projection technology to bring Mazu "riding the waves." The performance, combining virtual and real elements, perfectly integrates traditional folklore with modern technology, giving new life to ancient legends and delivering a stunning visual feast.
- "Light and Shadow Paint Legends" uses a 360-degree panoramic projection as its stage, transforming the legend of Mazu saving the world into flowing light and shadow. Giant waves surge and auspicious clouds rise, accompanied by stunning sound effects, making the audience feel as if they are there, witnessing the legendary life of the Goddess of the Sea.
- "Live Performance of Joys and Sorrows" creates an immersive live theater, with fishing boats, ancient streets, and waves authentically recreating the village scenery. Actors move through the scene, using song and dance, and drama to interpret Mazu's journey from mortal to sea goddess, conveying the spiritual core of boundless love.
- "Interactive Faith" sets up an interactive "prayer and wish-making" segment, where audience members can personally write prayer cards and participate in the sacrificial ceremony. In this ritualistic experience, they can feel the profound heritage of Mazu culture, allowing faith to be passed on through their fingertips and their spirits to be elevated through interaction.
- "Impression Mazu" is a breathtaking large-scale cultural tourism performance, grandly staged on Meizhou Island, Putian, Fujian, Mazu's hometown. It was jointly created by the Meizhou Island Management Committee and Impression Company, a subsidiary of Sanxiang Impression, as an upgraded version 4.0 of the Impression series. Since its premiere on October 1, 2024, it has attracted widespread attention.
- The performance lasts 66 minutes and traces Mazu's life story, vividly depicting the legendary tale of Lin Mo, still a mortal, helping and saving people, and delicately interpreting Mazu's spiritual journey from mortal to goddess. The entire play is divided into five acts: "Inquiry," "Virtue," "Goodness," "Love," and "Wish." Using "doors" as mirrors, it reflects the choices and struggles of individual lives in the torrent of destiny, prompting deep reflection on the spirit of Mazu and one's own life choices.
- The stage of "Impression Mazu" is a major highlight, innovatively creating the nation's first parallel illusion stage. By constructing multiple parallel relationships, it successfully breaks through the boundaries of time, space, and reality, bringing audiences an unprecedented experience of coexisting scenes. In the performance, Lin Mo, at the moment of her death at 28, will pass through the "Door of Time" to engage in "parallel" dialogues with herself at different ages, dreamily and fantastically showcasing the thousand-year legacy of Mazu culture. The stage design is inspired by the "double-eaved" architecture of the Meizhou Mazu Temple, with an inner eaved stage, a middle aisle stage, and an outer long stage, collectively forming an artistic mapping of the Mazu Temple's architecture.
- Another major breakthrough is the first-time integration of AR glasses experience into a large-scale cultural tourism performance. Audiences wearing exclusive "Spirit Mirror" glasses, like opening a "cross-dimensional" arbitrary door, can not only appreciate the magnificent real stage but also travel to a wondrous illusion in the void, interacting with the stage in real-time through gesture interaction, experiencing a new immersive viewing experience that is both real and illusory. The performance also cleverly integrates Putian's local folk customs and folk arts, such as Putian opera and "Shiyin Balue" (ten-tone eight-instrument music), allowing audiences to deeply understand Putian's unique local culture while enjoying a visual and auditory feast.
