Fado show ticket at A Casa do Fado - Sao Joao Novo in Porto

In the dim candlelight, the song flowed slowly between the stone walls, and time seemed to stand still. Fado has no glamorous stage or noisy applause, only the purest emotions and the vibration of the soul. The moment the lead singer closed her eyes, it was as if she was talking to the past; two guitars echoed softly, gently lifting up the longing and destiny. That faint sadness is not pessimism, but a kind of understanding and acceptance of life. Listening to the melody echoing in the air, the heart slowly settled down. We often see magnificent scenery that amazes us on our travels, but such a quiet performance truly brings us closer to the soul of a city. Fado sings not about skill, but about the years, about parting, about the tenderness after love. When the last note fell, the candlelight was still flickering slightly, and the heart had already been deeply touched.

Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the sweet wine and cozy atmosphere. Two men played instruments and one woman sang, and the audience even joined in, making the hour fly by! They also encouraged us to take as many photos as we liked.

It was our first time experiencing Fado, and it was one of our favourite things from this trip to Portugal. We were able to enjoy the sunset on the rooftop before the show. What an amazing atmosphere and such talented artists. You can tell that they love their art. We even got a glass of port wine to enjoy while listening. highly recommend

The wonderful performance and singing were delightful. The venue's atmosphere was also great, and I was able to experience Fado with a glass of wine.

I wanted to have a special experience during my honeymoon in Porto, so I made a reservation and visited! Both guitarists played really well and the songs were really good :)

Great performance. Nice introduction and explanation of Fado, without taking away from the show. Would suggest providing a small snack with the free glass of port provided.

I didn't research much and hastily booked a show that had an open time slot, but I really enjoyed it.

A very unique venue! However, it was already a bit warm in April without air conditioning. The musician spoke excellent English and explained fado very clearly. The port wine was also delicious.

My mom and I came here to enjoy Fado music ~ I thought it was really great ~ The musicians were all very professional ♥️
