What to expect
Starting from Mopanshan Pier in the suburbs of Guilin, this approximately 4-hour ink wash painting journey will take you downstream along the Li River, finally arriving at Longtoushan Pier in Yangshuo. The cruise will lead you through the picturesque Li River Gallery, where the clear river water reflects the unique peaks on both banks, resembling a flowing ink wash painting. While enjoying a leisurely light meal on board, don't forget to look for the nine elusive horses on the Nine-Horse Mural Hill. Finally, the cruise will take you past the ancient town of Xingping, which is not only the backdrop for the 20 RMB banknote but also preserves the most authentic charm of the Li River.

- If you choose the Li River 3-star early boat + Silver Cave package, we will provide designated pick-up and drop-off in Guilin city (please note: not all hotels can be directly stopped at for pick-up; specific arrangements are as follows: for hotels within the pick-up route, we will arrange pick-up at the nearest stop; for hotels not on the pick-up route, please go to the nearest meeting point for boarding); after the tour, you will be sent back to Guilin city (designated drop-off, dispersed at the original location), and we cannot send you back to your hotel. We ordered online as we do not have much time. Tour agent will contact 1 day before cruise date, best to have wechat. Be aware that not all hotels will be available for direct pick up, I had to walk around 5 minutes to pick up point. A bus will take you to the pier. Tour guide was helpful. Boat journey comfortable with lunch and snacks + tea provided. The entire tour is in Chinese language. Good to experience this cruise at least once.
This 3 stars river cruise Guilin to Yangshuo is fantastic. The communication between Klook, driver and customer on bus pick up arrangement is really smooth. Get an upper deck for better views from your seat.
Foreigners could also book with their passports, and it was a free shuttle bus, so we took the bus and picked up everyone to go to the pier. We used the first floor (no meals included), and it's the cheapest of the boat trip courses. It's a bit long, but worth trying once. Highly recommend it! bbbb
I recommend it 100%! They picked us up at the meeting point very close to the hotel. The guide was in constant communication with us to provide the schedule details and the bus that would pick us up. We did the 3-star tour and everything was excellent!
The crusing itself is really great and I highly recommend to try although it took 5 hours in the end. One thing I was disappointed about is that I mentioned our hotel at the beginning and we expected to get a pickup service but the agency didn’t tell us that our hotel is out of service until just one day before of the tour and we needed to get to another hotel to be picked up really early morning in the end. The agency notified us after our free cancellation policy due so we woke up really early and took a taxi to the pickup point but be careful where you want to be picked up!!
Overall the experience was well handled and organized.
The cruise seats were very comfortable. A basic food tray is included, which is sufficient. The service was fair, but adequate, especially for those of us who didn't speak Chinese.
The timing was perfect and the communication with the organising team was fluid and clear! The cruise was an amazing experience, I would recommend it ti everyone who visits Guilin!

Things were going ok until we got to the dock where the boat departs. It was raining heavily that day, and the guide only gave us the tickets for the boat right before she let us off the bus. The 5 of us approached the gates and was told our child's ticket was wrong because the passport didn't match the ticket. Of course, I didn't have a chance to check this after we hurried to get off the bus and onto the boat through the rain. The guide had already left but I immediately tried to call her and remedy the problem. The boat was 5 minutes from departure when the dock attendants felt sorry for us and let us get through the gates to board. We had to run through the rain, soaking wet and frantic despite umbrellas. The guide apologized but maybe she should have everyone verify their tickets were correct instead of trying to sell merchandise the entire bus ride. I was willing to ignore all the sales pitches but the wrong ticket almost got the 5 of us strand (couldn't leave my child behind!).

Pick-up Service Description:
- Our bus will provide pick-up service at designated stops in Guilin city. Not all hotels can be directly accessed for pick-up (Kind reminder: some hotels cannot be accessed by large buses). The only places where the bus can stop are the hotels listed below. You will need to go to these hotels or gather near them. Thank you for your understanding!
- Li River Grand Waterfall, Shanhu Hotel, Universal Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, Shangri-La Hotel, Taiwan United Hotel, Lingui Hotel, Venus Hotel Royal Hotel (No. 11 Binjiang Road)
Specific arrangements are as follows: For hotels within the pick-up route, we will arrange pick-up at the nearest stop; For hotels not on the pick-up route, please go to the nearest meeting point to board the bus;
Regarding Luggage: Tourists can bring luggage. Both the bus and the Three-Star Cruise have dedicated luggage storage areas.
