The driver was nice, but the cost of the private car service seemed a bit expensive at 2350 RMB for 10 hours, which is higher than the local market rate.

We had three different drivers over our 7-day trip. The first two were mostly fine, but the third driver really made our entire trip unpleasant. The car's air conditioning was very hot, and he took the wrong route, wasting our time waiting for him, which we didn't mind too much. However, on the day of our return, he suddenly claimed we had exceeded our time limit on the previous two days. But we had carefully calculated our 8-hour car rental each day, and on the last afternoon, we were so worried about going over time that we even told the driver not to wait for us and took a Didi back ourselves. He was clearly a dishonest driver. This was our first time renting a car with a driver, and we can only take it as a lesson learned. In the future, when we hire a driver, we'll make sure to clock in the time when they pick us up to avoid situations like this where we have no proof and are forced to pay overtime fees.
