Nantou Sun Moon Lake & Taichung Gaomei Wetlands Day Tour (Taichung City pick-up & complimentary A-Po's Tea Eggs)

Xiao Liu, our driver and \"tour guide,\" led us on a wonderful tour of Sun Moon Lake and Gaomei Wetlands. The itinerary was well-planned, the timing was perfect, and he drove safely and smoothly. There were four of us in our group, and we all had a great time together. Xiao Liu not only helped us take photos but also recommended the most cost-effective places to eat. Everything was very well organized. This trip was satisfying and highly recommended for friends who want to easily enjoy Sun Moon Lake and Gaomei Wetlands.

This day trip was incredibly smooth, right from the hotel pickup in Taichung City. Our tour guide, Dunken, was very friendly and experienced. His explanations throughout the tour were clear and humorous, giving us a deeper understanding of Sun Moon Lake's history and culture. Beyond his professionalism, the guide was also very thoughtful, proactively helping and instructing everyone on how to take photos. Whether it was the scenic beauty of Sun Moon Lake or the stunning sunset at Gaomei Wetlands, he helped us capture many beautiful shots, creating wonderful memories. The entire itinerary was well-planned, with a relaxed pace that never felt rushed, and the timing was perfectly executed, allowing everyone to leisurely enjoy each attraction. What was most touching was that after the tour, the guide went out of his way to drop me off at the Taichung High-Speed Rail station based on my situation, making my return journey very convenient and bringing the trip to a perfect close! Overall, this tour was extremely satisfying in terms of attraction selection, time management, and service quality. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed way to experience Sun Moon Lake and Gaomei. I'll definitely join their tour again on my next visit to Taichung!

KC is such a funny and kind driver! He used a translation feature with LINE app so both Chinese and English texts were present in real time. Since it was a full van (8 ppl max), my mom and I sat in the front with KC. He was kind to give us verbal history of Taichung and Sun Moon Lake with a side humor 😂. KC has excellent driving skills - very smooth ride! Throughout each destination, he cautioned about wind gusts for our safety. During the Wetlands, he mentioned to not head all the way to the end of the walkway due to high winds and tide. HE WAS RIGHT - the walkway was swaying with high winds (my hair was literally flying sideways). Be careful guys - listen to KC! KC was nice enough to drop us off at our Airbnb since we are located near Taichung rail station. He also recommended nearby night market(s) since my mom and I will be in Taichung for 5 days. Highly recommend guys - KC is a gem!

The scenery at each attraction was beautiful, and the schedule was well-arranged. Many thanks to driver Xiao Ren for the safe driving, explaining the itinerary, and helping with photos throughout the trip. Coupled with the excellent weather, this journey was truly unforgettable!

really recommend this tour. i booked this 2 days before my expected date as I realised it was difficult to diy travel to sun moon lake, and I wanted to visit gaomei wetlands as well but had a short stay in taichung. everything went extremely smoothly, and the drive was comfortable (a group of 8 + the driver). driver dennis was friendly, professional and even went out of the way to take great photos of us. we were left largely alone and were able to explore sun moon lake and gaomei wetlands in peace and soak in the scenery. ferry tickets are included as well which is not common in other tour packages here on klook. it is rare for a tour to combine both sun moon lake and gaomei wetlands in one, which is a plus. the itinerary is well paced and not rushed at all. 10/10 will recommend booking this! had an unforgettable experience 🫶🏼

A highly recommended excursion that was just right for us. Although we initially felt a bit rushed, everything worked out perfectly at each stop. However, it's important to know that this is not a guided tour; instead, you have a certain amount of time at each stop to explore on your own before continuing. In the morning, we had plenty of time at the lake to use the cable car, stroll leisurely along the shore, and enjoy a coffee. Our driver, Wilson, safely chauffeured us all day and provided a brief introduction and clear instructions on departure times and locations at each stop. Overall, it was superb!

It was a small group of four (including my husband and me); the tour was done by a car. It was big enough, but felt rather intimate. Luckily, everyone including the driver was polite, friendly, and punctual, so it was nice hanging out with them all day. The boat rides (included two disembarkations) were joined with Mandarin groups, but they made sure we knew when to come back. After the cruise, our driver asked us if we wanted to do cycling, which we all ended up doing. The driver took us to the rental shop, and made sure we knew what we were doing, then we were on our own for 3 hours. We spent this free time cycling on the bike path, lunching, and shopping. Then we drove for Gaimei Wetland. We were very lucky as the clouds cleared up just in time for the sunset. Then we were dropped off at our hotel, it was very convenient. Maybe it’s better not to include everyone’s name, number, hotel name in the tour communications; we were fine, but the risk is there. Something to be considered.

It was nice trip to the sun moon lake and gao mei wet land. The driver/tour guide is patient and ready to support when require.

Very organised and good tour to sun moon lake. Wilson is helpful and explain well on the place and timing. Recommended to go for this tour! Much easier with the boat tickets all ready.
