if you’re interested in the past of Okinawa island and want to learn and enjoy about it and its traditions, you should visit Ryukyu Mura! It’s not like Disney or USJ for sure, but we had such a great time there, the staff is so friendly and welcoming

A taste of what is life in the olden Okinawa with performers dress in traditional costumes performing dance, drums, singing and musical instrument. In short, an open-air concert with a small band of performers. There is a butterfly enclosure where you can interact with the insects. A popular locations for wedding photo shoots too.

There are many experiences, not many people, animals, old houses, performances, sake, and ice cream. Various small crafts are available, along with Ryukyu costume experiences. It's all-inclusive. You can spend half a day here.

I thought it could only be used on the specified date, but fortunately, there was a 3-day grace period, so I was able to visit during my trip. It rained too much, and I followed my schedule, so I arrived almost at closing time. I think it would have been fun to go when the weather was nice. It felt like a folk village, and I enjoyed watching the Eisa performance at the theater upstairs. The most memorable part was seeing the wonderful ox that helped make traditional brown sugar.

The Ryukyu Village is not very big, and the main focus is on visiting the houses with Ryukyu characteristics. There are Ryukyu songs, dances and Taiko performances in the houses, which are very lively.
