I made the reservation too late, so I ended up booking a course without a Korean guide. Since it is a course included in the diving, they gathered everyone together before the dive and gave us a detailed explanation, warning of danger, and directions for responding in case of danger. I was very satisfied with the scuba diving experience along with the snorkeling, and the second snorkeling was changed to fun diving (licensed), and I was the only one who chose the option for that scuba diving, so I think I was able to proceed with the tour more smoothly. It was great to see turtles at the turtle point, and it was also cute and fun to see the clown fish in the anemone fish that were a little deeper. Even during the fun diving, the instructor kept checking to see if I was following along well and took responsibility for my safety. If your flight schedule and overall travel schedule match well, I highly recommend doing either the experience diving or the fun diving. In particular, no matter how good the water at the beach is, snorkeling in deep waters is really great because you can see in really clean water without any sand, so the field of vision is really wide and you can see deeply, which was great.
It was my first time to experience diving. Although it rained that day, the experience was still very good. After diving for the first time, I decided to add $300 Hong Kong dollars to dive multiple times. Although I couldn't see any turtles, I saw two sharks. I was very satisfied. I was traveling alone and was guided one-on-one by a diving guide. When I pose, you have to be careful not to scratch your feet on the coral reef. Basically, you don’t have to worry about the poor water quality. I don’t know. He will also help you pose for photos underwater and dive for 20 minutes to take 3 to 4 photos at no additional charge. It is highly recommended to bring your own action cam (insta 360/ GoPro) with a diving shell (remember to install the anti-fog sheet in advance) + buoyancy rod so that you can record and commemorate when you encounter special creatures such as sharks. Also, the dive site seems to be far away from Okinawa main island. It takes about 45 minutes to take a boat ride 20 kilometers away. There were also some wind and waves that day. I was not used to the boat. I had to take seasickness medicine 30 minutes in advance. Two female passengers who were traveling with me fell down one after another and were so low that they could not experience diving/snorkeling. It was actually quite pitiful because The activity fee is not cheap (although it is cost-effective). A regular bento lunch and noodle soup are included in the activity. Frozen wheat tea is also provided. The staff are all very polite and have a Mandarin translator. There is also a Korean translator. The activity has a chartered car to pick up and drop off directly in front of the hotel. You don’t need to bring an umbrella at all on rainy days. It’s super convenient. The shuttle pick-up time will be notified in the afternoon of the day before. Remember to get up early and don’t go to bed too late the night before.
The weather on September 15, 2023 was great with visibility above 10 meters and no waves. I went to three islands to experience one deep dive and two snorkeling, and encountered sea turtles twice. The instructors this time were Japanese and Korean, but there will be A Taiwanese translator comes with the ship, so you don’t have to worry about the language at all. You can stay at a hotel in Naha city and there’s free pick-up and drop-off. The itinerary also comes with a lunch. The CP value is super high. I really like this trip👍
I recently went to the Kerama Islands to participate in snorkeling and diving experiences, and the overall feeling was very pleasant! First of all, I would like to give special praise to our instructor, who was very attentive. Especially for someone like me who is not familiar with the water, they constantly provided support and guidance, which made me feel more at ease. Two of the instructors spoke fluent English, which made communication effective. However, the ratio of instructors to participants was about 1:10, which may not be enough to take good care of each student during the diving process. In addition, the hot tea and hot water provided on the boat were very thoughtful, allowing us to warm up during breaks in the activities. However, I think it would be better if there were more practice opportunities before getting into the water. Because if you go into the water all at once, you will be a little nervous, so more practice time can help us enjoy the diving experience more smoothly. We were also fortunate enough to see whales on the return trip! Overall, this experience is highly recommended and left a deep impression on me!
I had the best moments of my life in the Okinawa sea. I don't think I'll ever forget the ramen and cigarettes I had on the sea. Thank you, Christina.
this was amazing. had too much fun forgot about each lunch but drink water to stay hydrated. went to 2 different spots, snorkeling and diving. they take pics for you. cost covers only 1 dive, extra dive is extra cost. bring med for sea sick, never know how you'll on boat.
We saw giant sea turtles! On the day before meeting with the team, the staffs would contact you via whatsapp with all the schedule details. If you need an eye mask with prescription, it is better to inform them earlier, so the team can prepare it for you. You need to pay extra 550 yen on the event day for the eye mask with prescription. We arrived at the meeting spot at 7am, which gave us sufficent time to get ready, such as getting change, putting on sunceeen, had breakfast. We chose snorkel. Only one coach was assigned for around 10 participants. Whereas for diving, I think around 1 to 3 participants got assigned with one coach. There were foreign speaking staffs (madarin & korean) came along with us. While we were snorkelling, those staffs became observers on the boat. What you need to bring to the boat with you are: phone, towel, water bottle/ drinks, sunscreen, dry clothes to get change. Lunch will be provided by the crew. Also, the coach would take pictures for you using their gopro.
The tour guide explained clearly. Good for first time diving.
Our Kerama Islands snorkeling trip was fantastic! The staff were friendly and helpful, giving clear instructions on the use of the equipments and where to snorkel. There were 3 snorkeling stops with a lunch break on the boat. We didn’t know we could book meals (as Klook did not offer this option). We were surprised to find a microwave oven and hot water dispenser, could have brought some cup noodles/pre-packed meals instead of bringing bread! 😅 They had one diving instructor for every 1 or 2 divers. For snorkelers, they ensured we wore our gear correctly for each swim. A staff member stayed in the water on a float, vigilantly watching over us and calling out to those who swam too far. Christina, our English-speaking guide, was very friendly and helpful. When my sister had trouble with her flippers due to a toe scratch, Christina kindly let her hold onto her float. She also pointed out a turtle and a clam and took photos for everyone. Overall, it was a very organised and enjoyable trip!
Overall arrangement from Teada was great. However, there were few groups gathering at the same meeting point so it took us some time to find which company we have signed up for. The name of local vendor wasn’t stated on my Klook booking. The tour is more suitable for people who already did snorkeling before as there was only one guide leading the snorkeling team in the sea, while other guides are responsible for diving groups. Our guide Christina explained the snorkeling method before the boat depart, and took photos for everyone. It was raining but the water is still very clear with coral and fish, unfortunately we didn’t see any turtle.
