Seoul Dongdaemun GoodMorning City SPAREX Jjimjilbang Sauna Admission

It's right outside Exit 13 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Subway Station, located on B3 of the department store. It's cheaper than buying on-site, highly recommended, and you can stay for 24 hours. Initially, men and women are separated, and you'll be provided with an electronic locker for your shoes and belongings (my 33L hiking backpack fit without a problem). First, you'll undress completely and take a shower in the women's area with the towel they provide, then soak in the hot tub (remember to bring your own toiletries; the hairdryer requires a 200 KRW coin). Afterward, you put on the clothes they provide and head to the sauna and restaurant area downstairs, or you can even sleep. It's incredibly comfortable and highly recommended. There are also free water dispensers and coin-operated drink vending machines available.

The location is convenient, in B3 of the building. First, scan the QR code on the machine to exchange for a paper ticket. The counter will give you a key and a set of clothes. Put your shoes in the shoe cabinet first. Go into the locker room, take off all your clothes, and then you can go to shower. After that, use the spa facilities (various pools, steam rooms, saunas). This time, I spent an extra KRW25,000 (about NT$560) to experience the Korean body scrub. The 'ajusshi' (uncle) worked very hard, and it felt like a layer of skin was scrubbed off! After the spa, you can put on your clothes and go to B4 to rest, or go to the dining area to drink beverages and eat something. Then, find a place to relax (sleep, use your phone, watch TV...). I finally got to experience a Spa and my kdrama life. Besides that it’s a very calm and relaxing place and I loved going between the hot and cold rooms. If I had more time I would have stayed longer and tried to have a nap in the sleeping room and had a good old scrub and massage. That’s definitely for next time as I will definitely go back. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. The food is also delicious and a very reasonable price. I had the eggs I see on the TV. I also was shown how to roll the towel for my head.

Value for money, incl lockers and a set of clothings to change to, when using the facilities. Spacious resting areas & many rooms to choose and move about. Delicious food too with reasonable price. Mainly to improve on the counter services to be more understanding and patient, when attending to tourists/beginners. Don't just simply say 'follow what others do', instead of explaining! Suggest to have some signages/notices in Eng & Mandarin at the lockers (as lockers provided are separated for shoes & clothings).

The location is very convenient, right in the Dongdaemun shopping district. Take the elevator down to B3 to purchase tickets from Klook, then exchange them for admission tickets at the counter across the way. There are massage chairs available for 3,000 Won for 15 minutes. Some areas have weaker air conditioning. For those sensitive to light, there are individual private spaces to rest. It's perfect for recharging and resting after a red-eye flight. It's also very convenient to get to Myeongdong, just two subway stops away. Facilities: The restrooms do not provide hand soap.

The first experience was impressive. The scenes I'd seen in Korean dramas came to life when I experienced them myself; it was so wonderful. Although the food is a bit expensive, the other experiences make up for it. The value for money is very high, and it's worth visiting again and again. The new regulations mean you can no longer use keys for shopping, so you still need to bring cash.

The location is convenient, near the subway station. The environment is clean and hygienic, and the space is large. There are saunas with different temperatures, and plenty of spots for people to sleep, making it perfect for those arriving on late-night flights.

The location is convenient, right outside exit 14 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station. However, the department store feels a bit deserted. The spa is located on floors B3 and B4 and has a Hanok (traditional Korean house) style. The bathhouse area is quite basic, with only soap provided and no other toiletries. The hot and cold pools have good temperatures, but the steam room has an odor. The Korean sauna (jjimjilbang) is on B4 and has a comfortable temperature, but the mats inside are not well-maintained, which can make it feel unclean. You can't use your wristband to pay at the snack bar, so you have to go back upstairs to get cash. Overall, the style is different from Spaland in Busan, possibly more traditional. The front desk staff (aunties) are very friendly, and the prices are cheaper.

Second night in Seoul, South Korea 🇰🇷 😳 The jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) experience in Dongdaemun with a scrub was really interesting, even if a bit shy! The kimchi stew and shaved ice at the restaurant were also delicious 🤤 I got so much dirt scrubbed off—it was a very unique experience.
