Gold Coast Glow Worms, Sunset & Stargazing Tour

Our tour guide, Michael, was excellent. His expertise made the entire experience exceptional. From choosing the best spot to watch the sunset to explaining constellations and astronomy at night, Michael demonstrated profound knowledge and attentiveness. The overall flow was seamless and the atmosphere enjoyable, allowing us to relax and appreciate the magnificence and tranquility of nature. Recommend! Our guide Michael is great. Perhaps because it's the off-season, it was just the two of us today, and we had a private car. He was well-prepared for the sunset viewing and dinner, providing hot food and drinks, plastic chairs, picnic mats, and blankets. For stargazing, he even had an app with diagrams to explain everything. Besides seeing things through the telescope with our own eyes, we could also take beautiful photos with our phones.

Michael is exceptionally kind and deeply knowledgeable about stargazing. The sunset view from Tamborine Mountain is absolutely breathtaking.

Tour guide is nice. Grow worm cave is small but grow worm is amazing. The sunset is incredible and the atmosphere there is great. Stargazing is stunning and good that we can take pictures using our phone through the telescope

Our trip starts from the Gold Coast, first to Brisbane to pick up other travelers, and then back to Mount Tamborine on the Gold Coast to see Australia's only glow worm breeding base. This is the only Chinese tour we've heard in a month in Australia. The tour guide explained in great detail and answered our questions one by one. Inside the glow worm cave, you can see beautiful glow worms scattered on the artificial rock cave, it's really beautiful. After arriving at the grass where we watched the sunset, the leader gave us picnic mats so we could sit on the mats and watch the sunset. The angle of this grass can present a super perfect sunset, and the light and shadow gradients can be seen very clearly. It is a breathtakingly beautiful sunset. As soon as we got to the grass, we rushed to the sunset, and the leader began to prepare our dinner, which could be freely combined with hot dog buns, chicken or beef sausages, potato or cabbage salad. After the sun went down, the temperature dropped several degrees instantly. Eating hot food brought a sense of happiness. After eating and drinking, we started the main event of stargazing at night. It was then that I realized that our leader was really cute. Unlike other leaders, he didn't chatter on and on all the way. He was a rather silent guy, but when we finished watching the sunset and started stargazing, you could see his love for stars in his eyes. He took out a super high-powered telescope from the car so we could directly see the true form of the stars in the sky, and even the rings of Jupiter could be seen very clearly. He also helped us take photos of what we saw with our mobile phones one by one. Although the passing car lights were a bit distracting, our leader showed great patience in this matter, and you could see that he was a true lover of the starry sky. You can dig up a lot of treasures about the starry sky from him. After the trip, we first went to Brisbane to drop off the Brisbane tourists, and then returned to the Gold Coast. The entire trip, on the way to and from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, totaled nearly five hours, which is very suitable for people living in Brisbane to participate in, but for people living on the Gold Coast, the entire journey is too long. The whole way is on the highway, and you can't replenish water or go to the toilet, so people departing from the Gold Coast must confirm that they don't need to go to the bathroom for the next two and a half hours. Mount Tamborine is very cold at night. Before departure, you need to prepare a thick coat to comfortably watch the beautiful starry sky!

No BBQ, only grilled sausage, salad, bread, and chocolate cookies are provided. The activity was postponed and shortened with 3 hours' notice. Because of the combined groups, the original 2-hour round trip became 5 hours, while the activity time was only 2 hours. Beautiful sunset.
