had an excellent massage with a skilled therapist, she took every knot out of my stiff muscles !! the atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. I went on a Thursday and only had one or two other patrons in both the jacuzzi area and the Roman bath area. the three course meal they gave you ample of selections. i am glad I selected The Peninsula, would recommend to others as well.
excellent food and service, the spa treatment is super relaxing and the therapist is kind and professional. the pool is indoor which is lovely
The attitude is spot on. An impeccable treatment. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the waiters attentively, the food was of very good quality, and the swimming pool view was superb.
The environment of a five-star hotel, the service is very attentive and courteous, the swimming pool is large, the massage is comfortable, drinks and fruits are provided in the rest area, it is worth recommending
Very good experience! The whole environment is very relaxing, the staff is very friendly, and the masseur's gestures are very good, making for a very comfortable afternoon.
The main reason for the low rating is that the actual experience didn't match the product description. Firstly, the spa facilities are under renovation, so the crystal steam room, the crescent-shaped aromatherapy experience shower room, and the sauna were unavailable. These facilities are usually exclusive to spa customers, offering a high degree of privacy, and on previous visits, there were no other customers. This time, we could only use the public bathroom's dry/wet sauna, which was small and had no Victoria Harbour view. Additionally, the package included a hot and cold stone massage, but after the back massage, when I turned over for the front, no hot or cold stones were used. When I asked the masseuse, she asked me if I wanted to use them. I said yes, and she finally used hot stones on my shoulders for about five minutes, explaining that the treatment is tailor-made and may not always involve hot and cold stones. My companion, because she didn't ask, didn't have any hot or cold stones used during her entire treatment. Also, although the massage itself was comfortable, the technique was not as good as before, lacking the previous wow factor. The only thing that maintained its standard was the excellent service from all the staff, who were very attentive, friendly, proactive, and kind. Knowing it was my companion's birthday, they even made a small decoration in her treatment room, which was very thoughtful. The poolside snack set was also good. In summary, I chose the Peninsula for its spa facilities, and I chose the "Awakening Moon" package for its hot and cold stone massage. As a result, I was notified the day before that the former was under renovation, and I had to actively request the latter. Therefore, although the overall experience was pleasant and comfortable, the value for money was undeniably low, and I felt somewhat deceived.
The environment is top-notch, and the service staff are very attentive and considerate. However, the masseuse's skills are just so-so.
I didn't expect there's such a surreal place at Peninsula Hotel! Tranquil environment, sincere and warm welcome by the reception staff, followed by a minder leading guest to the experienced therapist who tried to listen carefully and understand your need before starting the treatment. I also enjoyed the facilities such as sauna, steam, jacuzzi, swimming pool and the pool side meal. A nice surprise for a working mom to have a blissful escape from her multiple roles at work and family. Thank you Peninsula Spa & Wellness Centre. I am sure I will come again very soon!
nice experience and always great hospitality. enjoyed the steam room too
The overall experience was good; I'll go again. I hope there will be discounts on different types of packages to entice me to visit occasionally.
