Jewish Museum and Museum Judenplatz Ticket in Vienna

Vienna Travel Diary I have seen too many movies with Jewish history as the background: "Schindler's List", "The Pianist", "The Book of Life"... Those scenes on the screen have made me cry, silent, and even angry. But today, I am not in a theater, but standing in a real historical scene - the Jüdisches Museum Wien. The exhibition hall here is not big, but it is very important. There is no exaggerated exhibition design, but there are countless real objects, photos, letters, and fragments of life. They are the same "characters" we've seen in the movies, only this time they have real names, smiles, and regrets. I walked quietly through each exhibition area, as if I had walked into another Vienna: a city whose memory had been erased but was trying hard to rebuild it. Although it was a pity that there was no Chinese audio guide, the exhibits were available in both German and English, and I looked up some background information before leaving, so it was relatively easy to understand. Moreover, the staff was super friendly. Seeing that I looked confused, they smiled and pointed me in the direction of the next exhibition area - their gentleness made me relax instantly. After the tour, I sat on the exit bench and thought about the tears I shed during the movie. They now seemed to have an extra layer of weight. It turns out that seeing it with your own eyes and walking through it in person, and the distance between it and the screen, is such a different feeling.
